I've always loathed the whole idea of fraternities/sororities, the cliquish elitism of it and the toxic excesses of college partying, but this offered a more idealized fantasy view (or who knows, maybe there have actually been some reforms since I was in college, as they suggested here), and it was a reasonably fun episode for the character work and the humor. Plus there's a definite logic to the idea of Dionysus finding refuge in the college party scene. (The Magicians used much the same idea, although without the college angle and with much harder drugs.) And Astra continues to look amazing -- not only gorgeous and statuesque enough to rival Wonder Woman, but with a great fashion sense too.

It was kind of a blatant "We can only afford so many speaking roles" contrivance that the three ideal sorority candidates Gideon found just coincidentally happened to be the same three girls that randomly sat at Charlie and Astra's table earlier on. But budget is a harsh mistress. At least they found kind of a clever excuse for reusing the set of Constantine's house for the sorority house, though how much energy did it take to keep that time courier portal open continuously like that for several days?

The texting conversation between Zari and the blonde girl was fun. But how, in-universe, did Zari get the footage for that Beebo GIF? The incident it depicts occurred in the Old West, so there weren't a lot of cameras around. Maybe Gideon recorded it somehow?

I've heard references to this "beer pong" thing and never understood how it worked, so I'm glad they explained it. Though I'm not sure "glad" is the word. The whole thing seems quite unsanitary, drinking out of cups containing a ping-pong ball that's been bouncing off of numerous surfaces, probably including the floor. I mean, the alcohol content of beer isn't really that high, and apparently one is supposed to drink from the cup immediately, so I'm not sure how effectively it would sterilize the ball.

I think once you're at a point where you're playing beer pong, you're probably not going to be thinking clearly enough to worry about how sanitary it is.
This episode was a lot of fun. The big final battle at the end being a game of beer pong, was perfect.
I'm really starting to like Astra, I hope she sticks around.
The way they are treating Sarah's blindness is a little odd. She's supposed to be blind, but they have her walking around and reacting to everything like she can see.

Well like she said a couple of episodes ago, part of her Leauge training was being able to function for an extended period of time blindfolded. "Blind training" is a pretty common fantasy troupe.

What I don't get is when we started reviving the trope of blind people being presumed to wear dark glasses, which I thought had gone extinct long ago. None of the blind people I've been acquainted with in my life have ever worn dark glasses. It's not as if they need them.

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
If she's looking less than a second into her own future always, then that gives Sarah a fine lay of the land... But they haven't said that she's doing that.

Wow, that's a pretty spoilery description there. I realized that there is one person missing from their description of the Legends.
Any theories on who the new character in the description could be?

I kind of took that as a tongue in cheek way of saving filming time so they don't have to repeat takes every time Sarah looks directly at somebody.

More likely so Caity Lotz doesn't have to wear the milky contact lenses all the time. But that's the real-world reason. It's the in-story justification that bugs me. Why does Sara think it's necessary to cover her eyes?

Maybe to protect from UV damage and from other hazards that she won't have visual cues to see coming. Maybe it's a tactical advantage so people won't know how vision impaired she actually is. Maybe she really likes them and hasn't had a good opportunity wear them. :)

Last week she wore a blindfold. And there are much cooler dark glasses than the oversized ones she wore this week.

Real world answer for the glasses?

    It's obvious.

    She's a Blues Brothers fan.

I also see that there's guys in mini skants/skorts whatever as well. I admit I laughed at early TNG but at the same time I always thought that was a bold move.

It's been a long time since I've been this excited for an Arrowverse episode that wasn't a crossover.

Nice to see that they included a George A. Romero lookalike in the junkyard seeing as he would cameo in every one of his pictures.

And who else figured out that Gary was talking to the rabbit as soon as Gideon showed up?

I actually thought it was too obvious and that the writers were going to pull a bait and switch and have Gideon be an holographic projection of some kind.
