Spoiler Policy for Picard in the Picard Forum is only in effect for the first two weeks after an episode airs. Everywhere else it's six months. So you can post "spoilers" in here without the moderators penalizing you for it.
So go ahead.
Thank you for the information.
This is a quick reply, I might forget something, but since you asked....
These are things that might not annoy others but.... I'm me.
TNG has a very special place in my heart so maybe I'm overreacting?
By pooping on TNG I meant Bruce Maddox and few other things. I don't think many people liked Maddox much as he was the ”bad guy” in 'The Measure of a Man'. Still, would it be the same to watch that classic episode knowing what will eventually happen to him in PIC? I mean I know what PIC did with him but haven't watched the episode.. (yet?)
Picard's death. From now on Picard is a copy of himself? But not Picard.
Brent Spiner and his obsession to get Data killed. First in 'Nemesis'. Well, that wasn't enough, lets do it again.
Death is unfortunately a part of life but why start killing TNG characters?
The visual style of Trek has changed so much. Times change, in real life and in the world of Star Trek, but the overall look of the show is just so different it's somehow annoying. I have seen only few clips of the show on youtube so with actually watching the show this opinion might change.
Seven. I have watched 'Voyager' and like some of it but I'm not a huge fan. Having someone with some history with the Borg could get interesting but as I don't know how she was introduced to the series I'm not sure how to react to her.
Hugh. Isn't 'I Borg' an amazing episode? Since I haven't watched the series I don't know how Hugh is treated.. but do I want to take the risk? Same thing as with Maddox. If PIC could/might ruin '”The Measure of a Man' could it also ruin 'I Borg'?
As I write this I understand that some things could only be answered by watching PIC. But, do I want to take the risk? To ruin some great episode? Maybe I'll just wait until the final episode, like I thought when creating this topic.
Try not to laugh at this post.

Oh wait, you just read it, too late....
The show isn't TNG, and there's nothing wrong with that. Stuff happens that we aren't used to, and that we weren't expecting. That doesn't mean anything is "pooping" on anything else. It's simply expanding and developing things in new directions rather than safely sticking with the same tired stuff we've seen a million times before.
Kor
Yeah, it's not TNG. Maybe it's not my thing, even if the same guy is starring in it.
