tomolak, come back and read this after finishing Atlantis. Or before, you will know when. Trust me.
I think when I'm done with everything, I'm going to have like 50+ pages of spoiler spaces to read.

I mean, imagine a version of "The Return" where Weir is going nose-to-nose with the Ancient ship captain over who should be running Atlantis, instead of being pushed the side so Woolsey could just roll over for them.

Plus the episode makes these Ancients pretty dumb and useless which I hated. They don't appreciate everything that our characters have done in saving them and in restoring Atlantis. And they arrogantly assume the Replicators can't hurt them and get wiped out again.
I have to disagree with people about the Unas episodes... I've loved each of them. "ENEMY MINE" was particularly great, to me anyway.
Well, I don't know whether I'd call DS9 a long-form story. As much as it generally holds up in the end, it definitely wasn't pre-planned. In fact, I hate comparing DS9 to B5 precisely because B5 was, in the broad strokes, planned out from the beginning, and it's a long story well-told, while DS9 did a lot of ''not'' pre-planned storytelling. They're both great in their own ways.
My thoughts on season 7...
I would agree that the whole is better than the parts. Although most of the two-parters were excellent, the amount of them gave the season the impression of being much smaller. Despite the storylines going farther.

"DEATH KNELL" had a LOT happening, and was a great Sam hour.
I will say this... SG-1 and SGA are both great shows, and I loved them from the start.
STARGATE UNIVERSE, though, took me a while to truly enjoy. I was not a fan in the first half of season 1, but I promised myself I would give the full season a chance. And the back half was better, though not greatly. Season 2 was a VAST improvement, and I really became a fan. I was sad when it got the axe.
If you are going to go through the entire SG franchise, you should know that the tone of the first two shows is radically different from SGU... to the point where it almost feels like another franchise.
Season 1 of ATLANTIS is fantastic. I'll reserve my thoughts until you finish it.
A weird thing with the pilot. Only Jack and Daniel are in it because of legal issues. For some reason only the movie peeps could be in it. I find that weird. Legal things on TV shows are insane.
Oh no, the theme songs are great. Sci-fi Channel tried cutting the openings to fit more commercials. It wasn't taken well.
They finally got their way with SGU. I don't think they've ever let go. The Expanse has a gorgious (and frequently-updated) title sequence, but my understanding is the SyFy airings just used the short title that appears as the "Previously On..." card in the streaming and foreign version of the show. I only ever watched it via streaming, but iTunes (or, rather, the studio sending the files to iTunes) kept accidentally putting the SyFy version up for download and then quietly replacing it with the full version a few days or weeks later.
Lockdown (SG-1)
I'm not sure how I feel about the new Doctor yet. I do miss Frasier.![]()
