Spoilers Star Trek Picard Season 2 Hopes and Predictions

I really want episodic story-telling too. I want an episode where they go to a planet that exists in three time periods simultaneously, and Picard helps a widow come to the terms with the fact that her son is also the 38 eight year old fascist stormtrooper who burned down her farm, but eventually becomes the repentant seventy year old resistence leader who dies helping to overthrow the authoritarian regime. Plus a B-plot where Rios and Agnes get married in the past because they don't think it's legal but it turns out it is!

well for starter Jurati needs to be locked up and Soji needs to go she's probably the worst ''main'' character in the show currently and please give seven more screen time

The DS9 fan in me wants to see one of those characters back but I realize that is not likely to happen. O'Brien would work best since he's also well known to TNG fans. It will be interesting to see the aftermath between Picard and that Admiral when he gets back to earth. I hope they don't have something happen to the ship on the way back.

That's pretty wacky, captain. I love it.

They can have Jake Sisko as Governor of a new DS9 super station. Amazing how much he looks like his dad now...

The show needs more than 10 eps per season to properly develop the new characters.

I suspect the Borg story will continue in season 2. Maybe the Collective notices Soji's signal to the Synth Alliance and dispatches some cubes to investigate.

It would be interesting if Soji were able to keep opening those transwarp conduits.

The ending for season one was the weird generic Trek happy ending with all the "crew" there, except they're not a crew just a bunch of people who had common interests for awhile. They're not about to go exploring strange new worlds.

If they are going to keep this crew together, which I hope they do, I don't want it to be because we are all one big happy family now and we're going to go exploring. Come up with a good reason to keep them together.

As much as I love this version of Seven and wouldn't mind seeing her as a series regular, we don't need to see Trek alumni just for the hell of it.

Don't have Rios, Juratti and Raffi suddenly become all perfectly fine. Grow the characters by using their weaknesses.

There isn't always a need for a universe destroying threat like we had in Season 1 and Discovery Season 2.

I also agree with the comment of pick five things and do them well instead of ten things half assed.

Unlike many posters here I don’t want to see Jurati go to jail. Oh is the real murderer and I like Jurati. Also this is one plot thread I don’t want to be carried over. All the characters are aboard La Sirena. Let them go on some new adventure.

I would prefer more character based episodes.

I really like most of the characters on Picard, it's something they've done quite well. But the overall story left a bit to be desired. So stick with what you're good at, give us lots of great character stuff.

(Preferably a hologram-only episode for Santiago Cabrera.)

I really hope they can have john de lancie appear as Q. Unlike a non aging android, Q can appear however he wants to.

Would you like it if Q appears as a dog ("Number One") or a tree (like The Man from Another Place in the "Twin Peaks" reboot series););)

I definitely would like to see La Sirena and its crew do more space explorations - go to some galaxies that haven't been explored before or revisit homeworlds that haven't been explored in a Trek series for sometime. Candidates are endless, including the Gorn, Bajor/DS9, Cardassia, Dominion/Founders, Bolian, Denobulan, Narsicaan, etc.

Bajoran politics (and how it relates with Cardassia, etc) post-DS9 might be something to explore as well. This is where Fenris Rangers can be further explored, as it turns out it was founded by Maquis survivors like Ro Laren to bring in some order in an increasingly dark and chaotic place in the galaxy created under post-DS9 environment....

Agreed. Like some previous commenters, while all the new characters have interesting backstories, little is known about them beyond what was narrated to us during series one. More explorations toward their backstories and how they influence their lives in the present and how do they work together as a team, would've made the series more interesting and you'll need at least 14 to 16 episodes in a season to do this judiciously.

If 'Picard' supposed to explore the boundaries between biological vs synthetic/AI races, then the Borg would need be included in it. The Borg cube plot was one of the plots that didn't quite work for me during S1 and could be further explored in S1. We were never given an explanation why did the Artifact lost contact w/other Borg cubes, then lost power and got taken by the Romulans.

Likely explanation to me is because the Borg have suffered significant setback after their ranks were severely reduced by Janeway's super-weapon. The survivors are trying to rebuild, but in the process they're also being transferred into something more powerful and perhaps deadlier, than their previous incarnations. I think this theme (along with a new more sinister Borg Queen) would've been very interesting to be explored in S2 ;);).

Just like Discovery, first and foremost it needs tighter and more focused writing and not so many different plot lines. Trek shows like DS9 and ENT (seasons 3-4) could have the serialized structure plus that many plot lines because they had 22-24 episodes to resolve everything. Picard doesn’t even have half that.

I would like to see Q, in part because de Lancie and Stewart play off each other so well.

I don’t need to see Geordi, Worf or a visit to DS9. But I would like to see more deep pulls from Trekdom.
