Anybody have a 35mm clip from Court Martial?

TBH, I would want every frame of that scene because the combination of studio lights, backlighting and camera focus leaves the numbers fuzzy. What's actual would be easier to determine with more samples.

Well, if there's a stationary shot of it you could take several frames and average them.

I've thought about that. I think you're right, but if I don't miss my guess I'll be lucky to find one still, let alone the whole scene :-)

The BBC always screened The Doomsday Machine before Court Martial anyway so the explanation for no 1017 is obviously that the registration had been taken off their files after the destruction of the USS Constellation!

I thought the wall chart referred only to the starships that were at Starbase 11 at the moment. It showed the progress made on each one's work order or repairs. So of course the Constellation doesn't have to show up on that chart.

If so they're doing a super job on NCC-1831 as it's 100% complete and then some! :D

Perhaps indicating they're ahead of schedule? *shrug* They got a "Scotty" type Chief Engineer who always ends up giving you more than you asked for?

I thought was at "just" 100%. That's what it looks like to me. If the chart is in intervals of 10%, then Intrepid could be 96% done and rounded up, hence why it has to wait for the Enterprise to be fixed? Am I missing something?

It wold be great if we could get higher detail one this list, if for no other reason than that these are NCC more numbers from during TOS. Of course I take the somewhat radical opinion that the numbers on the side of the ship model that cannot mean feet due to the ship's scale should also be thought of possible NCC numbers from TOS, assuming that they could have filmed those numbers in close-up and said they were for other ships.

That adds 102, 705, 1300, 1384, and 1837 to the list of NCC numbers from TOS.

Assuming intervals of 10% then the image in long shot shows NCC-1831 at 100% then there's an extra section to the right of that:

OK. I did not see that in the shot above but I do at you link. That gap is strange. It would be at 120% but with a gap from 100% to 110%.

If I were to come up with an explanation at will, I'd say that the Intrepid is 96-100% done, with some extra module being added but not yet attached that adds 10% capability? That does not really make sense but at least it gives some way for the chart to work.

Agreed! Although if you watch Court Martial first you could say that the Constellation was not under direct control of Starbase Eleven! But after considering it's destruction you could say that it was removed from the listings! :techman:

Was dreaming about having the actual film frames and yes, @ChallengerHK I think you'll be lucky if one emerges.

Re: the 1631/1831 completion.
IRW, there is always a testing, training and certification period after major yard work so in my headcanon that's what the extra bit means.

Exactly. There are only 10 ships on that list, so that leaves 2 or 3 starships unaccounted for, depending on how many Connie's are actually in the fleet (12 or "12 like it."). The Constellation has no reason to be there, no matter what order the episodes are in.

Having three-quarters of the top line vessels at one base at various stages of repair or refit seems an odd state of affairs.
Nowhere does it say "repair" or "refit", only "status" and "% complete". These could indicate something simple like refueling or something vague like mission status. This is damned peculiar.
