Geordie's swirling rainbow crap vision is because part of his brain is missing. (Not a joke) It was never a tech problem.

Either they couldn't add more brain to what brain he had or they were not allowed to for ethical or legal reasons.

Eugenics ban?

If Geordie had left the federation and alien doctors had got a look at him, who did not care about the Eugenics ban, they could have grown him more brain, and he would have had normal vision, despite being a criminal deserving incarceration.

Brain and brain! WHAT IS BRAIN?!?!?!?!?

I'm just trying to remember, but Geordi had Predator heat vision in First Contact. And Seven's ocular implant had clear human vision with a walleye effect, but had enhanced vision modes.

I bet Geordi's eyes got upgraded and he now has selectable vision modes. Clear vision, heat vision, multispectral vision, Bozeman's simplex vision, etc.
What about Gene's vision?

What about a zoom function? Or other optical effects like split screen, slow motion, Quantel?

Yep, while he was sneaking a drink after claiming he had to go somewhere to take a leak.

I will be incredibly surprised if Picard is killed off.

Sir Patrick did not want to play the role again (it took a LOT of cajoling to bring him back).

They'll probably kill Picard just to put a cap on it.

It always annoyed me. No heat vision, X-Ray, zoom, or anything else a soldier might use. However, turn a few screws and Voila! She can see through time!

Which is a very real possibility. But, from a story point of view it feels unnecessary and cliche.

I have come to find Chabon makes choices based upon story need. And I don't see the story need for Picard dying.

So, there's this:

Spiner seems to be losing patience with a lot of fan speculation/comments on Twitter, and I can't say I blame him. Some people have a very strange "gotcha" attitude about it all, like they need to demonstrate to him that they're a few steps ahead of the show/everyone else, and he won't indulge them. This isn't so much the case with the exchange captured above, just a general observation about what I've been seeing in his Twitter mentions lately.

I can't blame Spiner for taking that break recently because of the hate that got thrown at him from some "fans" who had nothing better to do than to tell him how PIC is "not Star Trek", etc etc etc. I really feel like as if sometimes people forget that there's (usually) a human being on the other side of the Twitter account - and that celebs are also just human beings.

I can understand some fans have differences of opinion, but I never understood how some extreme ones can tell the people actually making Star Trek (and who even made the past works said fans like the most) that their current work "is not Star Trek".

Huh? He had the rainbow vision because he was seeing way more information than you and I.

Also, GEO would feature a mature, confident, maybe married Geordi who’d be a very different man. Maybe the most different, as a writer. It’d in fact be hilarious (if he isn’t married) that he’s not a huge ladies man now, like his homage engineer on The Orville. The more I think about this, the more amazing the series could be. Part SCE, MacGuyver, Kolchak...one episode could be Murder on the Orient Express, another Jurassic Park or Sphere, another 2001: A Space Odyssey... He could be Dr. Watson publishing what he also as Holmes figures out.

Data, Brahms, Moriarty, Barclay, Ben Vereen, Aquiel Uhnari, Gomez, Duffy, Scotty, the rest of the TNG cast, and others could guest.

I heard an amazing fantheory a while back.

When Geordie and Picard talk about his wife "Leah" in All Good Things, they are not talking about flesh and blood Leah Brahms, but the hologram from the booby trap, who he never stopped romancing since season 3 TNG.

The odd thing is that Picard is fine talking about a sex doll with Geordie.

Does this mean that the progressive holographc rights movement has achieved all it's goals, or that Picard is more comfortable talking about sex dolls than relationships between people?

Minuete has been a Judge on two episodes of Bull.

Well if getting together with holograms is a thing, I wonder if Rios is going to sell his multiple holograms out to admiring women or something. I think we have the plot for Season 2 of Picard!

Quark ran a holobrothel.

There was an entire episode about a customer who wanted to lay pipe with holo Kira.

Someone tried to trap Jeri Ryan into giving away spoilers (she didn't bite).

This is NOT a game! :shifty:
