For some reason the immune response to COVID 19 seems to be very transient and that means there's a genuine concern that a second or even third dose could be increasingly potent.
Thank you for sharing that. I wasn't aware of this; the last thing I read on the subject had said that after you had contracted it once, the antibodies in your blood would prevent you from contracting it again. I guess this shows how rapidly things are changing as we learn more about it.
This is actually kind of terrifying, though. The narrative has been that at least if you contract a mild case, you will be in the clear afterwards. This seems to throw that out the window. Is it possible to even achieve a "herd immunity" over time if you can contract the same thing multiple times?
