Reports that Discovery has had its fifth season ordered before its third has aired: https://thegww.com/exclusive-star-trek-discovery-renewed-for-season-5-at-cbs-all-access/ Midnight's Edge couldn't be reached for comment.
Hopefully more sources will confirm this. I don't really need to hear about renewals for future seasons. What I would like to hear is an actual date on when Season 3 will actually start.
Probably like how Picard has two more seasons ordered and sort of ordered respectively. I think all Star Trek shows will be 2 season pick ups from now on.
ME is working on a story that suggests that its only for appearances' sake and that Kurtzman is fired for the ninth time, but is continuing to hold on the title and has now locked himself into a throne room which is under a volcano with a lava river flowing through it. Secretly though, CBS is working on a film that will star all of the surviving TNG, DS9, and Voyager casts and will kill Michael Burnham in the first moments of the movie and revert the series to the real Prime timeline.
I can understand Picard considering the lead actor is in his 80s. As for hearing something about Discovery after the Picard finale, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Discovery trailer at the end of the Picard Finale. That should whet the appetite for when they will actually show the new season.
I hope its true! I am skeptical until the trades report on it, or we get an official press release from CBS.
Hey, yet another website I've never heard of making accusations without providing a shred of proof! Can you say 'clickbait?'
Is Season 3 still going to be on Netflix ? I'm so far out of the Discovery loop now and I'm pissed off Come to think of it, are the Short Treks on Netflix?
Yeah, has the season 4 filming in July report been confirmed anywhere else? That's only a 4 month break from wrapping 3 to starting 4/5.
That's about standard for normal network series that do 22-episode seasons - wrap March/April, start up writer's room May/June, filming begins July-ish.
Maybe they’ll film 20 episodes back to back, and split it into two seasons? So technically it’s only 1 production order, but will air as two seasons.
Shouldn't this brand new site, ran by Doctor Who, be putting out the renewal news for season 99 before season 3's? Due to the probable number of ads that would likely pop up, and of those that might contain payload, I wouldn't recommend clicking - they can't even get "season 4 renewed". And ScreenRant already made the claim for season 4, so GollyWhizWhiz there's got to one-up them. Ditto for Metro.co.uk, another tabloid...
