I voted more harshly than I should have simply because I'm growing weary of secret organizations and moles and conspiracies as a plot device in any genre. I like the show, just wish they hadn't gone that way with it. But that's just me.

OTOH, Clancy isn't just an excuse to deprive Picard of a Starfleet crew so that the series can get going. She's an adversary with an agenda, thus possibly an ongoing element in the adventure, which never was the case with Nechayev who merely delivered mission specs with an attitude.

That could be, but have any streamed shows ever been put in syndication anywhere before? My guess is that if All Access eventually goes away in the future, CBS would just negotiate a deal with Netflix or whatever (like they did for foreign markets) to continue having shows like this.

They’re not. That’s another area of the galaxy, you originally got there via transwarp gate. The square doesn’t represent its actual relative position.

That map is from around 2010, in game now that area has been moved to a more appropriate location on the map.

It will if Star Fleet puts out an edict/command to have them stopped.

I lived in London for 7 years before coming to Germany.......love Jimmy Carr and the whole ensemble. American's would be clutching their pearls and fainting. It's not even THAT bad by the rest of the world's standards.....just silly.

That is exactly how I see it too......get's da crew together and awayyyyyyyyyy we go.

When the security team runs into the room to try and stop the android on mars, I think they were wearing the starfleet uniforms from the Picard comic

Funny things is, Jimmy Carr's shows here in the states almost always sell out.

I get the 'Star' in 'Star Trek' but we are getting more of an infodump on 24th (almost 25th) century non-Starfleet life in two episodes than we got in 20 years of Trek otherwise. I like that.

The admiral didn't re-admit him to Starfleet. What he does on his own, as a civilian, is his own business. Unless of course it goes against Federation interests...

I, too, grow a bit weary of plots & secret organizations. But it IS very Romulan, so I buy it a bit more here.

Had no problem with the Admiral scene. Picard dissed them on TV & then asks for a favor? Plus, he likely disobeyed orders to get Romulans out (who he is and what he DID; and he said he couldn't be a bystander).

Treknobabble on reconstructing Data/Dahj from a single cell is a bit much, but that is a small quibble.

    Loving Picard's Romulan's & Pill.

Much prefer the slower pace & slower introductions of the characters.

In two episodes we have caught up (somewhat) on Picard, the Federation, Starfleet, Romulans, synths, Data, B4, and introduced Dahj, Soji, Dr. Jurati, Laris & Zhaban, Narek, and a peek at Raffi.

More new characters = more exposition. There is borderline too much as it is, but groundwork must be laid. Go slow at first. There are still holes in Picard's backstory, and we need more info on the Romulan's, Borg, & Starfleet. In addition to more characters to meet. Have to establish where we are before where we are going can be interesting.

Why does Picard seem so upset about the discrimination against synthetics after they "turned" on humanity.....

But doesn't seem to care at ALL that they even had a population of SLAVE androids in the first place?

Seems the androids were there before the Romulan evacuation. Picard would have left Starfleet due to the Android labor force before any of that even happened.

Did the writers not watch "Measure of a Man?"

It's hilarious when they discuss how secrecy is redundant in the Romulan context...

Slave androids are probably in the eye of the beholder. Humans weren't exactly happy with their lot there, either. How many of these primitive Synths were there, and were there any outside Mars?

It's a real-life surname on Earth. Perhaps her father was human.

Those particular synths at the Mars facility were clearly just dumb automatons, though. It's not like they had created a whole race of sophisticated androids like Data to use as grunts.

The fact they didn't even focus on that was a mistake.

There's no scenario where Picard, during his public outrage, does NOT bring up slave androids as a primary reason for him leaving Starfleet. ESPECIALLY since he seems to focus so much on his respect for Data in this show.

It's a serious writing oversight as I see it, so far.
