It was working for me last night in that kind of Veep cringy, awkward, mean humor.

I find shows where everything everyone does is clearly headed for a train wreck laborious to watch.

If the show never lets any character accomplish one small thing I think I’m done with it soon if not already.

Or, give me something, anything other than “Haha incompetence make things go bad”. Bureaucratic satire. Irony. Likable characters getting into hijinks. Relationship drama. The engineer stops life support from going down at the last second. Something, anything that gives me a lightening change of pace.

I don't think this is the right show for you.

I just think shows that are really dark need more intelligence, humor, character development or social commentary to work. Any of the above, just give me something other than disgust for all the characters.

Even if it’s just actual funny jokes. The most this show gives is lukewarm chuckles.

Right now the least unlikable characters are the selfish affluent passengers, how is that even possible?

Didn't care for it. Bailing for now. Will wait to hear if it gets better over time.

I'm good with Hugh Laurie and Suzy Nakamura. However, the person or persons who are responsible for Josh Gad's continuing appearances in the media should be hinted down and severely punished. Severely!

Heh, Olaf was the only thing I liked about Frozen the first time I watched it, which is especially funny considering I thought I was going to hate the character.

My wife is loving the show, but I have only laughed a couple of times per episode. I think that this would have been a better concept as a movie.

Josh Gad playing Trump is delightful, but the writers seem to have only one or two jokes for him.

I read the title as Avenue Q and started singing 'The internet is for porn' in my head.

I loved the third act of the newest episode with Ryan flipping out when he finally realized the obvious truth that the bridge crew are all actors like him and most of the ship is automated with a small crew of troubleshooters hidden underneath the carpet.

Making Karen the new crew liaison officer is probably the smartest thing Ryan has ever done and she has already proven her capability in that new role when she cleverly sold the new projected trajectory length by blowing up the estimate and slowly walking it back as if she had any control in the estimate.

The SNL-type humor is a little strained for me, but I'm still enjoying it. Getting the occasional chuckle.

Maybe it's because I'm so used to Laurie in House, but in this, his British accent sounds fake.

If my boss could have had my office decorated with a word cloud of everything I've ever done wrong, he would have.

Yeah, that's definitely a unique way to resolve a conflict, especially a relationship one while confined to a ship for the unforeseeable future.

The non-luxury sections of Avenue 5, especially the exterior section we've seen a few times, have a very JMC Red Dwarf vibe about them.

Oooh man, this was a jewel to find. With the recent finale of Michael Schur's The Good Place, I had anticipated a void in my tv comedy, & this is going to step in just fine. It's like Galaxy Quest meets Arrested Development or something. For many years, I've always heard rumors of a Galaxy Quest tv series, which never seemed like a good idea to me, & now... I'm sure of it, because no matter what form that could ever take, it could only ever dream of having the potentiality of this show. I think I'll like it better than even The Orville.
There is, Billie (Lenora Crichlow), & I think she's a wonderful choice. The premise is more than just incompetent people. The premise is people currently being incompetent, & the journey they're going to have to take to get where they need to be, in order to make this work. There are people there who know how to get things done. They just aren't in position to do that yet. I'm looking at you, Ethan Phillips.
Exactly my point. I knew the minute they announced a 3 year voyage to get home, that she'd end up becoming the most important character for controlling the situation. If the show has any legs, she'll probably end up the chief admin officer of the whole Judd corporation. Either her or Judd's assistant, who is also adept, while equally unfulfilled... or some combination of them both
