Jimmy Carr has one of the most annoying laughs I've ever heard.
Yeah why is it that we’re being held responsible for all that we might post and if we’re spamming we get despamified in the worst ways.. not that I disagree with that but... I might still have residual echoes of that from the time I was spammed and took the spammers group of emails that they spammed to and sent a fictional resume out...this I did in like 1993 or so sorta before the net but aol’s nonsense was popular at the time... ?
it's so weird- people can now publish more stuff and throw it out into the void of the internet than ever before imagined. If the FBI is paying attention to my output I'm not even remotely sorry for all the cat and baby-Yoda content.
LOL yes, our equivalent of the FBI filters messages for keywords. Since "Stoff" means cloth but is colloquially used as a synonym for drugs, I bet my quilter-friends and I have files 6 inches thick

It would really make much more sense if the year started in the spring... You know because spring is the first season and all that... The stupid things that we've been doing for centuries!!!
Initially, February counted 29 days in normal years and 30 days in leap years but someone said that since August was named after an emperor, it couldn't just have 30 days, so they took one day from February and added it to August... and that's why the numbers of days in months don't make sense anymore.

The whole difficulty arose from us using the decimal system in every day life but a duodecimal system with seconds, minutes, hours and months and a heptal one with days. It'd be so much easier to split a day into 20 hours, a week into 5 days and a year into 10 months of 35 or 40 days with the remaining day as a global public holiday. And who knows - if we'd define a second as a decimal unit, some rather ragged constants (like the speed of light: 299 792 458 m/s) might suddenly become nice round figures.

oops, I'm really not quite awake. It took me a minute to realize that a Hummer in English is different from a Hummer in German. I kept picturing an electric lobster..
Would imagined things count as real since we really do imagine them?
Do we imagine the real and the unreal? Or does reality imagine them for us to perceive? Why would we, or reality even want us to do or perceive something like that? How do we even know? If it’s real or not real both or neither?
