Source of Picard’s dreams (Spoilers)

Anyone wondering whether Picard’s dreams about Data are just his intuition or whether there’s more to it?

We know from First Contact there is something of the Borg left behind in Picard, and possibly Data got something from that exchange too. Could he have sent a message that has been picked up by the Borg technology left in him that he’s subconsciously aware of?
 
If there's any meaning to the dreams beyond being whimsical and enigmatic, it'll be a symptom of Irumodic Syndrome.

As a military vet, and almost 50..........I can say I often dream of the past and people I served with. I often dream of 25 years ago when my kids were 5-6 years old (they are not in mid 20s) THere MAY be more to it, but I think PIcard is just dreaming of his past when his life was more meaningful than his current day to day on the vineyard. He even says as much when he says the dreams are preferable to waking up.

EDIT: I do not have Irumodic Syndrome btw :-)
 
I am still suspicious of Zhaban and Laris, are they behind his dreams as access would be no problem for them as they live with him.

They always seem to know when he is and is not sleeping properly.

I do not think they are an enemy as such but they clearly know more than they are letting on.
 
Read a theory on reddit that "Number One" could be Q in disguise.

Wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be true and if he was also responsible for the dreams...

No way. I think they are who they seem to be. Picard if nothing else is a great judge of character. We don’t know what happened yet, but probably he saved their lives directly and they pledged to always be there for him.

I agree with this. On the point of Laris knowing he was talking in his sleep, my girlfriend took that as a clue that she is probably his partner at this point...

The reviews I've read so far all say that the Romulans who take care of him are a married couple, so this is probably not the case... unless they're into having a third person in their marriage, of course. (Do Romulans do that? I mean what do we know about Romulan marriages? lol) :angel:

Yeah, but do those dreams give them the specific piece of information that they're about to need?

Also, are those people full or half Romulans? They don't look as Romulan as the transporter assassins.

That seems to be a main point, Picard hasn't been Picard for a long time, so his judgement is suspect.

Maybe he saved the lives of 2 true blue green Romulans that have since been watching Picard for signs of these new synths. Still no idea why the Romulans are interested in them except revenge.

Producers have stated we will see various types of Romulans in Picard. Even Zhaban and Laris show this one completely smooth while one has small ridges.

Interesting. Are all the likable ones going to be the more human ones and all the evil ones going to be the more alien looking ones?

I figured Romulans are working for Picard because Romulans know how hard he tries to save more of their people, and now they are refugees, and not a lot of people are hiring Romulans.
