Picard is 94 in the new series. Considering that Admiral Mark Jameson was nine years younger and looked like somebody partially melted David Hasselhoff in a pan Picard looks pretty damn good for his age, even in the year 2399.
Didn't stop William Shatner from starring in endless Trek sequels.I'm not likely to see "Picard" anytime soon because I don't have Amazon Prime and I've no intention of getting it
I have however seen the Trailer being shown on terrestrial TV here in the UK
Picard looks like, a hundred ffs.
He looks way too old for active duty in space, just my opinion.

It's going to suck on some level.
It's going to suck on some level.
It's going to suck on some level.
With due respect, I have spent the last ten years defending the Trek that I enjoy and love on some level, warts and all. This is one of the first times that I have had this attitude towards Trek and I am done. I'm done liking stuff and being told it sucks because I'm apparently blind to the flaws. I'm just over it all.And this, right here, is why people find negatives in so many things in today’s world.
Try approaching something with the expectation that it WON’T suck, and just sit back and enjoy whatever it gives you. You’ll be surprised then how it DOESN’T suck on some level.
Nope, not this time.As I said before, you like everything, so I can't imagine you won't be all over this.
Patrick Stewart will turn 80 in July of 2020 - so yeah, he's not a 'spring chicken'. Makes the early renewal of Season 2 and the ok to even plan for Season 3; as well as starting to film Picard Season 2 ASAP understandable. He's still fucking ancient

I've got to say...
We all have that one Star Trek series we don't like (and even if you don't, it'll happen one day). Mine just happened to be ENT, not PIC.
To be fair - Adm. Jameson was also supposed to be suffering from "Iverson's disease" which was supposed to make the character even more frail.

Because I'm done trying. I'm done liking stuff others don't. It was fun as a teenager, but it's just tiresome now. I'm over it.I'm confused. It sounds like you made up your mind to not like Picard and yet it's not even out yet....?

Old people look old. Astute observation. I take it you won't be watching the show, then.

I'll just go watch my TOS VHS and just be done.
