Some of these explanations are reaching a little...
1) She's incompatible with the Kelvans plans so she's "cubed"
2) Things got dark after being cubed
3) Not the only person cubed in this episode
4) After she's crushed, Kirk picks up her powdered form and looks at it. If she wasn't dead already and if she could see, she probably could see his toupee.

I seriously doubt that I guessed correctly but I haven't guessed in a while and that's all I got right now.

Doctor Ann Mulhall?
1. Sargon, Henoch and Thalassa are not compatible with their human hosts.
2. Sargon turns off the lights on the ship to indicate he wants Kirk to bring Spock, too. I assume Mulhall sees this in her area, too. Another possibility is she is in the dark while in the globe receptacle.
3. Get mind transferred.
4. ? (I'm not a filming angle guy.)
5. The android body designated for Thalassa is naked at this point. Not really a Mulhall reference except it is her body at this point.
6. In the conference room are only the main four (Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scott) with Mulhall while they discuss Sargon's mind transference proposal.
7. She is confused how she was ordered to the Transporter Room. "Well, I'm not a liar, Captain. I did receive an order to report here for duty."
8. I assume she gets the soft romantic music at some point in the episode, (but again, I'm not a music guy.)
