7th Season TNG. This is the point where it's becoming too technobabbly and too "What the fuck is that?!" for my tastes.

No; I'm not the only one seeing them for the first time.
Compare the pricetags:
CBS All Access: 4 months @ $5.99 per month, $23.96
PLUS a broadband connection (which I choose NOT to have until Net Neutrality is here to stay),
PLUS sufficient "iron" to actually receive the connection (which I also choose not to have in my home),
And it's probably heavily protected against being recorded, and therefore even more ephemeral than an on-air TV broadcast.
vs. waiting for the DVD set:
DVD set: under $40 at B&N, with member and coupon discounts, most of which was paid for with what was left on a gift card, AND IT BECOMES A PERMANENT PART OF MY LIBRARY.

I love physical media, but your calculations leave out the other content on CBS All-Access you may want to see at some point. Like The Twilight Zone, and Star Trek: Picard.
"Sub Rosa". It's TNG's "Spock's Brain". I know it's ridiculous... but I like it for all the wrong reasons. 
There were even a few spots where I was laughing. If I had my friends over and we were watching bad movies, and I put this on, it would fit right in.

Well, the one thing that stood out in my mind, after all these years, was that she thought the whole idea of running out into the middle of the woods, in the middle of the night, barefoot, was stupid, and said that if it had been her decision, she'd have at least worn thongs.
Watched it not too long ago, rather entertaining episode.
