Wonder Woman 2 Anticipation Thread

So let me get this straight, they're considering an Amazons spin-off and we still can't a damn Superman sequel?!
OMG! I am a complete idiot. I immediately assumed they were in negotiations with Amazon (the company).

Sweet Jesus that was an awesome trailer. Really looking forward to this now

Swinging on lightning bolts is just so great, I don't even know where to begin
WW has had the best "wow" moments of any DC film so far, and it looks like 1984 will continue that trend.

Actually, quite really. Right down to the "lame villain" and "color" and "humor" and "Special FX" and everything else that actual filmgoers enjoy instead of monologuing and other pretentiousness.
You finally admitted that there is something lame about the MCU. This is a major step toward your recovery.

Can't pick up on sarcasm, can you? I'm saying that if the MCU had lame villains, then so were Ares and Dr Poison and Luddendorf.

We're looking at getting a Superman TV series. So, 15 hours or so of Superman a year vs. 2-3 hours ever 3 years. hmm. I know what a fan of Superman should prefer.

Most fans would prefer a movie for sure. Top production values, top talent working on it etc.

The MCU is notorious for most of its villains being weak and/or poorly developed with even weaker motivations. There's not another franchise that shares such a distinction, other than the Garfield Spider-Man movies.

Nah, they just aren't the stars of the show. The heroes are, which is how it's supposed to be. Their makers don't think the leads aren't interesting people (the way Burton and Nolan think).

DCEU. Every single one of them. Although for some reason they get away with it.

In fact, the Nolan villains aren't terribly good either.

Not me, I'll always take a TV show over a movie. TV shows are able to take their time and develop the characters and world, and are able to go a lot deeper into the stuff from the comics. Movies, especially modern movies, just can't take their time to really go in as deep as a TV show can.
They could cancel every MCU and DCEU movie and move all of their characters over to TV shows, and I would be thrilled.

The DCEU doesn't get away with anything where it comes to criticism of its movies.

You must remember that to a certain someone, if the DCEU is not hated / burned at the stake the way he desires, somehow, they've been given a free pass from criticism. Oh, and don't let anyone in a DC movie receive praise for their performances or generate Oscar buzz...that will drive some to the point of bursting in a ball of hate because its not happening to the MCU.

Someday Kevin Feige will get the Irving Thalberg Award or some other "thank you" trophy. ;)
