Not bad as an episode, though it's basically the culmination of what I've observed a few times prior in that the show has gone and destroyed the message they were trying to send all season. Morgan's been spending all season insisting "we're not doing smart, we're doing right."
That's the showrunner bias--as if an extreme form of altruism is the greatest belief in a world where your primary concern should be survival. The were wandering around as if they had a stable base of operations.
Seeing Strand revert back to his old ways only served to emphasize they haven't really been sure what to do with the character since he became trustworthy.
Probably thanks to the overselling of Strand being "wrong"/"corrupt" almost from the start, while characters like the Clark family were very corrupt/self-serving, yet they were never painted as untrustworthy.
I mean, yes, he says he's working from the inside to take Ginny down, and I do believe him,
That's what I'm hoping, too.
Given Ginny's all about The Future, nothing represents The Future better than a newborn baby.
Well said.
So, Morgan. I doubt they're killing him off, but could they still be writing him off the show? I've already seen some speculation online that he gets a timely rescue by the helicopter, leading to him being in the Rick movies.
That would suggest Jadis's group have a country-wide reach, and if that's the case, one would imagine the characters of either series would have--at least--stumbled across their path. I think his savior will be the group with the helicopters, which will lead to Morgan meeting the object of Althea's obsession, and a decision to be made about rescuing his friends. That's assuming Strand 's plan meets a fatal end, and this group has nothing to do with Virginia's people.
