Okay, you've had your say. You could have expressed your frustration in a less graphic way. Please move on

Watched episode 2, Hawk and Dove, this morning and really liked. The introduction of Hawk and Dove was nice, and I just want to say that I really don't see where she was a violent psychopath here. She might have been a bit more aggressive in the comics, but she was probably the least brutal of the three fighters, and seemed pretty shocked at how Robin acted in the fight.
Dove's reaction to Robin seemed to be setting his up as an actual plot point, so it looks there might be an actual story reason for him acting that way.

So I've watched all of this I like it a lot - it's a completely different level to the repetitive and soapy Arrowverse stuff that I got bored with a few years ago.

    Looking forward to season 2.

He never said any of that was "cool" or HIS fantasy..just that this is fear, which he thinks has some basis of reality.

No more "support" of that than someone warning that if Trump were re-elected the US would be in even more trouble (and by them saying that , that means they WANT THAT to happen).

The thing is...Titans sounds more like The DC Film Universe rather than the DC Berlanti Shows and the MCU. The latter respects the comics and takes ideas/motifs/attitudes than many of us vibe with and add their own modern twists on it.

Kirk55554 doesn't see that at all with Titans.

I don't - I find them boring and repetitive - which is fine - diversity is good - the Arrowverse stuff I find too dull to mention and you find titans too dark - which means we both have something.

Wait, is Ravager a hero? I thought she was one of the big bads of the season along with her father and brother?

It depends on which comics you read. I don't know what's going on currently, but back in the pre-Flashpoint, pre-New 52, pre-"Whatever Else Has Reset Continuity Recently" days she was on one of the team books. I want to say it was 'Teen Titans', but I don't exactly recall. While she wasn't technically a part of the Bat Family, she was closely associated. At least, those were to books she crossed over into most often as I recall.

There's kind of a weird trend in the DC books for younger female offspring of bad guys who are terrible fathers, becoming heroes. Rose Wilson, Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown and Artemis Crock all leap to mind. (Granted, Artemis was only a hero in animation; the comic version was always a villain.)
Enough that if they wanted, they could probably build a whole team book around just these types of characters. They all also happen to be sans super powers, interestingly enough.

Oh, OK. The only Ravager I've come across is Isabel Rochev on Arrow, and she was an ally of Deathstroke there.

Prior to the Flashpoint/New 52 reboot of 2011, Rose Wilson was a Teen Titan (when the book was made up of the Young Justice lineup). Reintroduced as a mind controlled villain, she eventually overcame her father's influence after being trained by Nightwing and served as kind of a reluctant, ultra sassy hero. Had a great story arc romancing Red/Kid Devil that was a lot of fun.

More recently reintroduced to the DCU in Christopher Priest's marvelous Deathstroke run, it's unclear how much of her old continuity is still in play. Looks like she was still trained by Nightwing, but no longer a Titan? In any event, she's been a reluctant ally of her old man as he tries, often in truly reprehensible fashion, to forge some kind of connection with his kids. She was mind controlled by an ancient spirit into becoming a Punisher style anti-hero and most recently she has claimed the Deathstroke mantle after her father was killed by Damian Wayne. Villain or hero? Let us go with gray.

Joey Wilson, better known as Jericho, has also been a Teen Titan (and much longer serving than his half sister). He vacillates between hero and villain depending on the writer, and is currently in the same gray place as Rose under Priest's pen. Both of the two surviving Wilson children have relationships with Slade that could best be described as fraught and complicated. So, honestly, there's really no right or wrong answer when it comes to adapting them.

I've heard of Rose and Joey, I'd never even heard of Grant Wilson until I looked Rose up on the DC Wiki. So how many kids does Slade Wilson have?

At least one more than Adeline Kane would like.

Adeline Kane? Any relation to Kate Kane and Martha Wayne (formerly Kane)?

She's Grant and Joey's mother and Slade's ex. Making her one of those Kanes would make for some awkward Wayne-Kane family reunions.

I don't even much like Slade. But Rose and Joey are among my favorite DC characters. I'm honestly not even sure how that ended up being the case. Weird.

She's also, sometimes, kind of a DC analog of Nick Fury. It's not an exact 1 to 1 analogy, but she runs a military/spy type organization. And she's almost always out to get Slade. That is one messed up family.

As Nerys Myk mentioned, she's the mother to Slade's boys. Rose was born to a Hmong prostitute while Slade was in SE Asia. As you can imagine Adeline and Rose don't get along.
