I'm curious, wouldn't this be seen as a huge downgrade? According to wikipedia he's directed all three John Wick movies, which are well known and really well liked (and profitable). Now he's the b-director/stunt cordinator on a shitty Margot robbie vanity project. I get that the three John Wick movies are apparently his only directing credits, but those are three impressive credits, its not like he's been directing failed TV movies or something like that. He's gone from directing a (at this point) well loved action movie franchise to being support on the DCEU's version of After Earth (but with less talented actors). I get that he did a lot of second unit/stunt work before JW 1, but this feels like he's being downgraded.
Hopefully this is a job he's doing to open the door to better things, because even as someone who just thinks that the JW movies are ok, I think the director deserves better then this.
Then again, the guy was apparently the body double replacement for Brandon Lee on The Crow, so I suppose working on a shitty vanity project comic book film will still be a better experience then his last comic book film (to be clear, I like The Crow film, but I doubt it was fun doing the job he had on it).
