Bread and Circuses
There's a lot to love about this episode, great Spock & McCoy scenes, good casting, good satire, but I just can't get past the idea of "parallel Earths." It just seems like such an easy and unimaginative set-up.
The Apple
Positives: Great redshirt carnage. Interesting Prime Directive stuff. Sexy ass-kicking yeoman. Gamara's petrified disembodied head.
Negatives: Dorky looking natives.

been doing a DS9 rewatch, last night was "Q-less" and it's... not a great episode. Q is extra annoying and the station-ending possible disaster feels super disconnected for the auction scenes going on simultaneously in quark's bar, even when the auction is the key to that disaster. however, i don't think i ever appreciated what a great fit vash is on DS9. i liked her chemistry with quark and i was pretty bummed by the end of the episode that that's the last we ever saw of the character. she's a rogue, anti-establishment, perfect fit for life aboard the station. but it was not to be.
I still don't see what's so funny about him not writing it down on his pad. You had to be there, I guess.
