I've been watching a bit of season 2 lately and last night I watched The Icarus Factor.

Picard talks about the USS Aries exploring a very distant sector where it has picked up signs of intelligent life and is investigating. Meanwhile on the Enterprise: Riker's daddy issues.

On a related note, Riker was such a slime in the early seasons. Either pontificating about 'gazing into infinity' and our 'cosmic fate' - or groping subordinates half is age. And Data's two day old daughter. Gross.

I watched the DS9 documentary What we left behind dvd. It was nice to see the cast interviews and the writers discussing the series and the impact show has had on fans.
