Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Plus, it's become obvious that prioritizing website sales over subscription fulfillment has been their policy for a couple of years now.

The main thing is that they keep producing new ships. There are loads that have not seen the light of day yet. SS Conestoga, SS Lakul, Suliban salvage ship, Hirogen Venatic class, the Raging Queen, Voyager at warp, Yridian destroyer, Scorpion class, Husnock ship, classic Tholian web-spinner, TOS-R SS Aurora, mirror Warp Delta, Year of Hell ships, and on and on.

Speaking subscriptions, I never got the Discoprise from the Discovery range. It jumped right to the next one. There was no letter to explain why. I assumed they just ran out.
You’d think being a subscriber you would get the ships first but I seem to be a few months behind now. It’s not like I started late as I subscribed back in September 2017.

I got that one but nothing on the worker bee or cleave ship. It’s been kind of a dry couple of months for subscribers.

Subscribers are a captive market that you know will be much more likely to continue purchasing the collection, website sales on the other hand will pick and choose. If a particular issue isn't available they're less likely to come back to buy and more likely to forget or buy via 3rd parties.

It is annoying as a subscriber but loyalty doesn't really count for much in business.

Should treat us with more respect. It only takes one click to cancel it.

I saw on the Facebook group that the 'Build the Enterprise-D' collection has been cancelled.

The note says "We do hope to continue this publication in the future and are working on upgrading the model". Presumably trying to fix the obvious flaws that we've all spotted.

It's strange...things have been going along pretty smoothly for the past couple years and now, recently, all kinds of problems have been cropping up. Skipped issues without replacement, missing magazines, discontinued models without communication as such. Usually when such things start happening it's because they added a new branch or changed their IT infrastructure or something. They've really been whiffing it lately.

Well it might all be because they are winding down this particular collection. If the regular subscription line is ending it is no longer a priority for them. Making sure things get to customers itself then no longer becomes a priority as they won't be customers soon anyway. I hate to think that cynically but....

I've still never received the Bonnie magazine. This is after the whole E-F fiasco when they sent it instead of the Bonnie.

Just got notice the XL Bird of Prey is shipping as well as the Enterprise F magazine (STO paint) both were webshop orders.

My regular sub seems to be running late as well, last shipment was April 26th. Discovery sub was May 3rd so it’s just at a month. They skipped the Worker Bee & sent the Cleave Ship.

I got two blank notices today telling me that two >>> somethings <<< shipped. No idea what they are. Maybe the missing magazines from earlier deliveries, maybe something else entirely. Very strange...

the klingon raider is another hideous design but a pretty cool model (that cockpit), apparently it comes with the wings(?) detached, a sign eaglemoss is learning something:

Nah--that's just their first entry for THE LEXX. Trying to remember the episode I saw that on...;)

Don't forget the Bajoran scoutship and Degra's ship.

The Klingon Fleet book has arrived. It includes ships we have not received as models yet. And ships that I don’t think we’ll get.

Upcoming ships: rebel transport, DSC fleet (Batlh is now official and supersedes the awful ‘bstlh’ typo).

Non-model ships: Military freighter (Groumall class), civilian transport (Merchantman), Noggra’s shuttle (Cleponji-type). Amazing to see they’ve been turned into CGI models!

It does not show the D5 tanker variant from ENT.

hero collector has a first (second really) look at new models coming to the standard collection, most notable to me is the cardassian freighter:

the rest (USS melbourne, rebel klingon transport, devore warship, vulcan ship d'vhal) feel pretty bottom of the barrel to me. do i keep having to ask where my bloody son'a ships and yridian destroyer are?
