Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I received notice of 2 shipments last night:

Edison from Discovery, meaning Worker Bee is still skipped for me.

B’Omar Patrol Ship -151 from the Regular sub, meaning 148,149 and 150 were skipped and I’m only getting one ship this month.

I've yet to be charged for #148 & #149. It's now more than two months since my last ships. I also emailed their customer support about my missing Bonaventure magazine but no response 3 days later. Anytime in the past when I emailed them I would get a response within 24 hours. Now... crickets. I'm not sure what to make of this yet but will try calling next.

This is actually SOP for them when things go sideways. Happened MANY times in the history of this line. Zero communication to the customers. When things work well, they work really well. When they start to hit little bumps in the road, it all goes to shit. The one small consolation is, eventually, things do work out, but sometimes it takes months, even over a year, to get everything back on track. Just another new cycle starting now, I imagine...

Got a notification for 150 - the Antares. Lots of skipping going on. :sigh:
Issues #148-#150 aren't even in stock on their store. I would hate after all these years (not to mention dollars!!) for the line to end on such a sour note. Especially if, as a loyal subscriber, my collection ends up with gaps. I don't want to have to "hunt" down elusive issues/specials/etc. at inflated prices!! :angryrazz: Not having to do that is why I subscribed to begin with!

USS edison arrived in california today. was looking forward to this one, but it's just alright. good use of transparent plastic after countless issues with none whatsoever, but still odd they chose to make the grille around the deflector and yellow impulse engines transparent but not the bussards or backs of the nacelles, which i think would've been the better choice.

but hey, i've been grousing for months that eaglemoss has been skimping so this is progress. this thing is a good size and has a nice weight. the stand holds the ship oddly high, but that's a good thing because the top of the ship is boring as hell:

it's all about the underside:

There are shades of Discovery design aesthetic in the secondary hull. Curious configuration choices. I think I like it, but I'm not entirely sure.

it's yet another one of these discovery ships that look better as john eaves drew them than they do as final models.

apparently there were supposed to be fighters during the battle of the binary stars, the hoover class was designed to carry those fighters.

Now, I would like to take the whole top of this saucer and place it atop an even larger disk with other shuttlebays pointed to aft port and aft starboard--a layered saucer.

I would have the saucer bottom here given its own ship--a neo-refit type.

I would put the nacelles on REL's Klingon ship (they do look like Graph units) and the secondary hull would be a Nebula saucer replacement.

Ben Robinson confirmed on Twitter that they’re doing a DS9 XL & will be doing ships for Discovery Season 3, Picard, S31, Lower Decks and the Nickelodeon show

Here

Isn't the existing DS9 already the size of the XL ships? How big is it going to be?

An even bigger DS9? I am so sold. I love the existing one (aside from the pylons curve in and there was no stand), but bigger is always better. If it comes with a scale Defiant and Enterprise-D that would be the stuff of dreams. :techman:

Current DS9 is about 6 inches across & a little less than 4 inches tall I believe. XLs vary but I think they’re usually around 8.5 to 11 inches.

As for the XL DS9, he doesn’t give the size.

After a week I finally received a reply to my question on the Bonnie magazine... basic answer was, "We don't have any and don't know when we'll get any, have a nice day."

Considering I ordered it last January I'm not optimistic...
