Nah. Some people when we found out about him decided to ignore everyone else that was in that room and just assumed and decided he was the lead person for some reason. I remember being really annoyed when that was happening. People were outright ignoring Kristin Beyer's role in this as swell.

It sounds to me that because of the reduced budget they aren't following the original template as planned.
Due to the agreement between CBS and Paramount, the budget has to be 25% less than planned, to match the 25% difference in allowed EPs...
It's funny. Back when I was an editorial assistant at William Morrow, I remember everyone being all excited by this hot new literary author, Michael Chabon, whose first novel, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, was getting a lot of buzz. Jump ahead thirty years and he's running a new STAR TREK series. Didn't see that coming.
