USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

E.T. Phone Home.

Even now after a full season, I think I'm in the minority that doesn't like the DSC Enterprise. It's just a bizarre Frankenstein of NX-01, TOS, and Refit. All crammed together when they really don't go well together.

I understand the need to modernize the design, and that's the problem. They didn't modernize it enough. It still has some seriously outdated shapes and design elements that look ridiculous next to DSC's other ships.

I like the bridge, though. Except, again, the chairs which look laughably out of place on such a modernized design.
Whilst I have some quibbles about the design, it is easily the best looking ship in the show. Retro elements make it much more appealing that the overly stylised angular sleekness of the rest of the fleet. Also, saying things like 'outdated shapes' is just blatantly ludicrous.

I guess the word "eventually" has become accurate again in this thread title, but no, I don't think we'll be seeing Enterprise again in DSC. Maybe we'll see all their distant descendants, the same actors with a tiny amount of makeup added. (Tasha/Sela style)

More space robots, yes.

I really don't know how to feel about that.

I've always had the opinion Star Trek was severely lacking in robots. Which was obviously originally a budget thing.

But justrandomly throwing them in there, without any further explanation didn't really work for me either. Weird.

I think the Discovery and Enterprise robots look absolutely ridiculous, but hey...that's just me.
