I saw the DOT-7s and immediately felt a disturbance in my bank account. They're too cute. I won't be able to resist.
What I want to know is whether the Kelpiens are now happily coexisting with the Ba'ul or if they, er, had a really good lunch.
Also, it's good to see that Discovery got some upgrades in this episode. You gotta counterbalance those continuous phaser beams but a generous supply of exploding wall rocks. Doesn't hurt to add some sparklers to your interior decor either.
Pretty sure they said it was the holographic communications system, which is why Pike made such a big deal about it being ripped out of the enterprise and is also the Canon explanation of why it disappeared until the end of ds9.
Ah, I felt it too. Its as if hundreds of dollars cried out and then were silenced...
Pike did stick around Kaminar for a while post Pokemon evolution, so its possible he made good on his offer of negotiating the peace between the two species.

Loved it! I would've liked to see the Discovery crew at the end.
All I can say is.. WOW.. that was beyond incredible..!
I kinda felt after the episode The Red Angel that the show’s arc was losing focus, but man, did they deliver..! Makes me think now that they had this planned from the start way more than I thought, and I will now forever look back at this season as one of the ultimate highlights in Trek history...
Think of all of the awesome things that happened.. from Pike to Spock, from the D7 to Reno, from Talos IV to the Enterprise bridge: this season has been an incredible ride and thank you Kurtzman and co. to give us this, despite the severe onslaught of hateful keyboard warriors....
And that ending, my God.... if season 1 was an opening quote to the DSC story, S2 has been the awesome prologue, but next season... next season will be chapter 1..!
Long live DSC... it has been one hell of an adventure so far..!

The battle reminded me a lot of BSG, a more three-dimensional battle. A little more impressive than two ships firing phasers until somebody's shields get too low.

Finally finished it!
I... I dunno guys, not liking the ending. We spend two seasons building up an awesome crew in this pre TOS period... this last season building up an awesome relationship between Burnham and Spock (which really shows a new side of a favorite character)...
And... now it doesn't matter. Surprise! We're going where "everyone" wanted us to go- post TNG trekness. While we're on our way let's go out of our way to define things to appease the Canon heads: Never speak about Burnham, never speak about Discovery, Show Klingons as TNG bloodthirsty wardogs, etx.
(By the way, I thought Tyler's presence around other Klingons would destabilize the Empire. Not the case anymore?)
I do like some things they did... Peck's monologue was incredibly Spock-like. It was great to see Pike on the bridge of his ship, and the Enterprise cast in general were remarkable to see. Leaving off on the Enterprise like that, I'm very much left with the expectation that we're following Pike and co going forward, and this is the exit for Burnham and the discovery crew (it's not, I know...) but I want to see more of the 23rd pre-TOS period. I won't miss anything from TNG and onward portion of the "prime" timeline. I don't care about "canon violations", DISC was fun, here.
But I also like Cornwell warning him of what might happen if he's wrong. I thought hed use that destiny as a shield to do whatever he needed- because for it to pass he has to live through whatever. But Cornwell asking "What if it's worse" was a nice counter to it. Turns out she was right. I will miss her (if it weren't for, Surprise! Now this time period doesn't matter anymore!)
Apart from the massive letdown from the plot, the episode was good all around. Shoutout to the Wormhole effect from TMP, accurate sounds and effects for the Enterprise's weapons, and great acting performances by everyone.

Not sure how it doesn't matter. Its not like they fulfilled the wish of the detractors who wanted the show, characters, ship erase. Not to mention that each season is a story, and we've seen plenty of Star Trek stories where the characters are trapped in a different time and find their way back.
I expect we'll get 7 seasons of Disco which amount to the equivalent of 7 thick Star Trek novels made for the screen.

You could look at Calypso being a hint that the crew found a way to go back to their own time after dropping the Discovery off in the distant future. I like to believe they found out their absence in the timeline turned the Federation into something unpleasant, so they go back to try making things better.
I dunno if things will go to 7 seasons... 7 is when things started to feel played out with TNG, no?
