* "He means in case one of us gets dead along the way." "Get off my ass... Get off my ass, sir. " Reno keeps killing it. Seriously.
* SOMEBODY OWES TILLY A BEER! (I'll buy it. I love you, Tilly.)
Since Control got destroyed they didn't really need to go to the future, but that is what the plot required (aligning with canon, etc).
Ash: You eliminated Control? Entirely?
Starfleet Officer: We have.
Well I'll up the ante:
Season 3 amended curve ball - Discovery finds itself in the Orville Universe and they encounter a humanoid automaton species who's first contact words are "All this has happened before and all this will happen again!"
Yes, it is, even in the 23rd century. There's no conflict, either, because Terralysium is on the other side of the Beta Quadrant.Isn't the Federation already partially in the Beta Quadrant?
Yes, it is. It doesn't conflict, because the location of Terralysium is on the other side of the Beta Quadrant.
Those looked like straight nacelle struts to me in the closing bit, bringing the discoprise closer to TOS. Explains the conflicting images from earlier in the year. More Eaglemoss models on the way
And I'd definitely be up for a Pike spin off.
I wonder whatever happened to the person on Vulcan who was supposed to be taking command of Disco at the end of the first season....
I can just imagine the feeling of waiting nine months for a ship that you find out apparently never existed at all, nossir.
I would have chit my pants if They had played part of this in the background during that scene...

I'm a HUGE TOS fan, and I totally agree. When I rewatch TOS from here on out, Discovery will have added to it. That's been a really cool aspect of Discovery, particularly the second season. Like you, I certainly don't feel like anything has been trampled on.Yeah, NO.
TOS was great but DISCOVERY is also great.
Nothing DISCOVERY has shown us "tramples" on anything from TOS.
In fact, DISCOVERY has added to the tapestry of TOS in huge ways.
And that's coming from an Original viewer and hardcore believer of TOS.

She died of stupidity. As I wrote earlier. Why didnt she tie a chord to the emergency bulkhead handle and stand on the safe side of the door and pull the handle down via the cord? Oh Discovery, the suit only had power for 1 jump into the future, but somehow it made 5 back to back jumps back in time, 1 forward jump with Discovery in tow, and then was able to do one more jump backwards in time to the present just as a signal to everyone we be ok now that were stuck in the future. And, sad as it was, Admiral Cornwell died heroically, saving the Enterprise.
- Wilson Cruz knocked it out of the park this season with his performance. The subtle nonverbal stuff he does in his scene over Stamets in sickbay is wonderful.
- All hail the rotating hallway set!
- The music during Michael's first wormhole jump was fantastic, I thought. I also loved that it wasn't an easy trip, but painful and wonderful by turns. Some great physical and digital elements here, too.
- Wonderful symmetry in having a season that began with a sister's point of view and mission log ended with a brother's POV and log.

a pitch hitting the umpire in the crotch would be a strike tho. Seen it happen on a 'mix-up' with the catcher thinking it was a pitch-out so he jumped outside the strike zone to get a pitch and the pitcher threw a normal pitch. That's not a curveball. That's a wild pitch that hits the umpire in the crotch
