"The U.S.S. Discovery battles against Control in a fight not only for their lives but for the future, with a little help from some unexpected friends. Spock and Burnham discern vital new connections between the red signals while Burnham faces one of life’s harshest truths: the right decisions are often the hardest to make." - Memory Alpha

This is the second season finale and ever since it was announced that we'd be getting an additional episode, it was a fair bet that it was because the final episode was too long and needed to be split in two. According to a recent interview, it seems that they simply needed more time to wrap everything up properly and from what we've gotten so far, they definitely needed that extra episode. You can read the interview here.

And tonight, we say farewell to Pike. What are the prospects of a new series featuring everyone's favorite captain? And what does Anson Mount think about the idea? Find out here.

I predict no timeline reset and no Borg. I also predicted no MU Lorca last season. So hopefully I am getting better at this.

Oh yeah, this is happening today, isn't it? I'm almost afraid to watch, in case the finale faceplants. #AmbivalenceIntensifies

According to Space's TV schedule, they've allocated 1.5 hours for the finale. I think "Brother" also was scheduled for that long, so the finale will also most likely be over an hour long.

The main problem I have going into the last episode is how long I am going to have to wait for S3.

I also wish Netflix was airing this the same day as CBS All Access. Last year the aired at the same time.

Coming to these threads when they're already at 40 plus pages is a pain.

It would help me out if everyone waited until Friday to watch.

Technically netflix does air it the same day, just a few hours later. I'm in Australia, and we're a day ahead of the States. I can read everyone talking about it on here on Friday at around 11 am and then its available on netflix at 7 pm.

Double checking S1 airdates on Netflix UK it was Mondays that it aired and Sundays in the US but we got it less than 24 hours after CBS.

I think netflix gets it, globally, around 5 or 6 hours after the US, and I think that's whenever it's midnight (ie, the next day) in some specific place. For me, in the UK, it meant it was available at 8am, but it might be 9am now that we're on British Summer Time rather than GMT.

I like to watch as early as I'm able, otherwise there's a lot of catching up to do (I don't visit this site until I've watched the episode).

And, yes. It was Monday for us in the first series.
