Then can just redress sets as easy thouBuilding a big set isn't cheap so it wouldn't surprise me, if they did something more with the Enterprise. If not a full series, maybe a short trek episode or a TV movie or the Enterprise will appear in DIS, Section 31, the Picard series (holodeck, timetravel, etc.) or a new academy series again.
Yup, exactly what I was going to add. Then can just redress sets as easy thou
What I keep saying about this bridge in my online chatter with other fans is that it's a perfect example of how you modernize TOS without going too far. It is unmistakably the bridge of the great lady USS Enterprise.Just shows how they can build a lovely bridge , after tos this is my fav bridge now
I would love it if it were called Star Trek: The Final Frontier, despite sharing a title with an otherwise unpopular Star Trek film.ouch!. Might as well call it Star Trek: Valentine to the fans
Star Trek: Early But Not as Early as Enterprise or Discovery Voyages.I think Star Trek: Early Voyages is a title worth borrowing for a Pike series.
Personally, I'd rather see a post TMP series as an animated series featuring the surviving cast and/or soundalikes. They've introduced rebooted Pike, then rebooted young Spock, then teased rebooted Number One (barely used). I can see them doing something similar with a Pike series, gradually introducing a few TOS characters with a view to transitioning to a TOS 'reboot'.
For my part, the ultimate grail would be a Phase II post TMP series. The re-imagined technology would not look out of place, it's a largely an unexplored era, with a second 5 year mission, more alien crew, and the shiny movie era ship.
Me too. I'd personally like a 4-6 episode thing.I think a Pike mini-series is more likely than a full out season.
And frankly, I'd prefer that approach myself.
God no.Personally, I'd rather see a post TMP series as an animated series featuring the surviving cast and/or soundalikes.
If they did go that way, I think Star Trek: 1701 as well. Then, when Pike starts training cadets, it wouldn't be too jarring a change to Star Trek: 90210Seeing the Enterprise in all her glory felt like coming home even if TOS only came into my life after a decade of being a Trek fan. I really loved Mount and Peck's portrayal of Pike and Spock all through this season and with the amount of detail that went into the bridge set too I can definitely see a Pike/Enterprise spin-off being in the works. It goes without saying I'd watch the hell out of it. I'm also wondering what it might be called; my first thought was Star Trek: Pike, but it's a bit too character-centric... maybe Star Trek: 1701, I think this one has a nice ring to it.
