Captain Pike spin off petition

Just call it Star Trek and pitch it as new episodes of TOS that chronologically fit between The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before.; like a Season 4, but more like extra episodes of Season 1. Make it a bunch of 4-6 episode mini series like Futurama did when it first came back. Something CBS can drop in between their other Trek seasons.

I signed the petition. A series like this is a no-brainer. Even though you'll lose some people who'll be against the fact that it doesn't look exactly like TOS, you'll make up for it on the other end with people who became interested in Pike through Discovery who wouldn't have been interested before. It all comes out in the wash.

A post over on the subreddit today has a photograph of a fan meeting Anson Mount, and paraphrases him as saying, "if [fans] want a Pike show, tweet and it and sign the petitions. CBS hears it."

That's worrying. I was pretty convinced that this was a sure thing, but he wouldn't say that if the series was already planned, would he?

I didn't think it was likely, and my life would be fine without it, but the building of that set gets me wondering.

In fairness, most of those are probably such in-actionable inanities that you'd expect little else.

I signed the petition. Mount stole the show, made a great Ccaptain Pike even if we all know he has a tragic end to his career. I am not a fan of 'another white dude in space' show but if it keeps Mount Pike on Trek then I'll bite my tongue and watch it. (Still wish he could avoid the beep beep chair)

Probably. Since they have dedicated soundstages they'll probably leave it more or less intact until they need the space or materials. I'm just guessing, but I imagine that the on-set electronics get pulled and secured pretty quickly after they finish shooting it.

No, but it's definitely stored somewhere as they will be doing other Star Trek series over the next few years and you never know.

Signed. Mount as Pike has been one of my favourite parts of this season and I’ve enjoyed Peck as Spock too so to see more adventures with Pike and Spock on the Enterprise would be fantastic.

Only reason i watched the second season , still not tuned to this crew hardly know who is who, but pike has been the star for me of the season
