I just want the news to report actual news instead of insulting our intelligence with non-stories and distorted quotes.
Now they need to go after Jared Padalecki...

How dare they use the IP they paid a fortune for and worked for decades on, paving the way for the MCU in the process, giving Marvel free money for licencing based on Sony's movies? All designed to keep Marvel from getting the rights back to their character.

Maybe they wouldn't. But I'm looking at on principle. And I'm sick and tired of this business where someone gets the rights to some property and churns out a load of tosh just to keep the rights that bit longer. See if Paramount don't do the same with Star Trek to keep control of the film rights.A lot of them Marvel wouldn't use in film even if it did have the rights to do so. So not really worth disappointment let alone anger.
Especially with the X-Men and Fantastic Four coming home. That said, the MCU won't have any shortage of characters they can use.
My thinking exactly.Especially with the X-Men and Fantastic Four coming home.
Does Sony using the characters mean that we can never see them in an MCU Spider-Man movie? If so it is kind of a shame we won't be able to get an MCU version of Venom or Black Cat.
On that note, I assume the same deal lets Sony do video games since Spider-Man was exclusive on the PS4 and made many of the best games of the year lists. You do realize Sony still makes money with their Spidey movies, and one of them just got an Oscar. It's not like Fox not getting their shit together on Fantastic Four, Sony actually has success with their movies.
