Maybe to you.But it means they think Disco is a direct sequel to "The Cage" and prequel to TOS proper which IMHO makes very little sense
Doctor Who did the same thing recently, only it was all 800 episodes

That's a weird thing with Discovery. It seems like they're trying to have their cake and eat it too, both changing the visuals and designs to large degrees, and yet throwing bones at fans such as the line about Pike asking them to remove the holographic displays on the Enterprise, etc.
Same here. It's especially apparent to me (anyway-IMHO and all that) is that the events are the important part, as well as the characters, not all the visual trappings. Why? Because the idea is to imagine future tech based upon present knowledge. The message sent last night by the production staff was quite clear: there is no difference between the Cage visuals and those of Discovery. The Enterprise? Same. The Talosians? Same. Heck, they cut directly between shots of Hunter Pike and Mount Pike. SAME!
The Cage / Discovery / TOS / TAS, whatever. They are in the same universe. I don't see a difference.
Sigh. It's a mess. The charactizations have been changed, events rewritten the technology altered, nothing looks the way it did, but the last episode was a sequel to "The Cage" (even though they ignored General Order 7). They want their reboot cake and to [prime universe] eat it too.The message sent last night by the production staff was quite clear: there is no difference between the Cage visuals and those of Discovery. Use your imagination, suspension of disbelief.Sigh. It's a mess. And it is tasty. They want their reboot cake and to [prime universe] eat it too.
What events have been rewritten?Sigh. It's a mess. He’s probably going to bring up Balance of TerrorWhat events have been rewritten?
Everything I've seen has been brand new info to the Trek-scape.
Needs to go in to the ENT forum. He’s probably going to bring up Balance of Terror
I never found it particularly grueling...Well, since DISCOVERY is a prequel to TOS and a sequel to ENTERPRISE, I suppose it does boggle some folks minds on how to intermingle everything.
That obviously happened a little differently, "Affliction"/"Divergence" didn't happen at all it seems so Klingons aren't cowardly Augment humans in TOS anymore, "The Cage" is different since Pike being a sexist pig is totally at odds with his depiction in Disco, and on, and on, and on.He’s probably going to bring up Balance of Terror
They weren't cowardly in TOS.seems so Klingons aren't cowardly Augment humans in TOS anymore
Bob the Discount Klingon disagrees with you. They weren't cowardly in TOS.
