Hmmmm. Since 2000, because of Andromeda, I've figured that the Federation might actually eventually become part of something larger like Star Trek's own version of the Commonwealth. So Zora, the stand-in for Rommie, fits like a glove.

It kind of does doesn't it?

I love Rommie but yeah this Zora idea from Calypso makes some weird sense.

I'm changing my vote to 10. Not just the best of Discovery so far, but some of the best the entire franchise has to offer.

What if it's this Zora!

There is one problem with the Iconian theory. We've never seen what an Iconian was supposed to look like but the impression that TNG and DS9 gave is that the Iconians simply walked through gateways and appeared in other time periods and places throughout the galaxy. Would an Iconian need a spacesuit or environmental suit of some kind to travel through time, and if so why the wings?

The reveal may be even stranger than our theories.

Time Travel isn’t something the Iconians are said to have done before in any of the canon lore.

In STO lore they physically can’t for reasons I can’t remember. It damages their brains some how.

I'm taking it 50/50 either way.

Either the writers really do surprise us and blow us away or it's a real let down and fizzles.

"Why do Iconians need a spacesuit?" reminds me of a very similar quote from some old genre movie from the 80s...Sybok confirmed?

Well she has been living on her own for 1000 years. She's basically a cat lady A.I. Actually that would have been a nice touch in calypso, if there had been holographic cats and holographic stacks of newspapers all over the place.
