You know you're a TOS fan if...

If you think this is a delicious meal. Yum!

Can Stonehenge unpack a tricorder? I think not.

Well no, you gotta use an Amiga adapter.

And cubes! Yum.

You know you're a TOS fan when you cut up three different colours of melon for a fruit salad specifically so you can pretend they're these things.

You have passionate opinions about how many engine rooms and how many transporter rooms there were, and can back up your positions with highly persuasive facts. :bolian:

I like referring to it as TOS. I like that when I google "TOS episodes", Star Trek comes up. Out of all the series that had spin offs and so had "an original series", Star Trek is the one known as THE Original Series.

Star Trek is similar to Star Wars in as much as they both have had to change their original titles due to some later lame brained shows so that newer fans can differentiate them rather than rely on the older and long serving aficionados who have kept the torches burning for years!

You call it "Star Trek", instead of TOS
This is getting a little out of hand. I write TOS here because I'm among fans and it seems logical to differentiate. I bet many other fans do the same for similar reasons.

I always refer to it merely as "Star Trek" when I'm speaking.

It's easy enough to differentiate. Star Trek means the series produced in the 60s. Star Trek Franchise or Star Trek Universe refers to the franchise as a whole. Differentiation complete without needing to slaughter the title of the show that started it all.

Fair enough; that's reasonable to me. :bolian:

Yep. Lots of fans of lots of different flavors of Trek here. Doesn't hurt to be clear on which version one is talking about.
