Just a fun little thread where we come up with one liners about what marks us as TOS fans. The goofier & the geekier, the better. I'll start:

You know you're a TOS fan if...

...You make references to Wrigley's Pleasure Planet instead of Risa.

...You start to twitch whenever you hear someone call it an "away team" instead of a landing party.

...You think that the Eugenics Wars and World War III were the same thing.

...You insist that everything is a Russian invention.

...Half of your coworkers wear miniskirts.

...You're still tempted to short circuit your work computer by giving it an impossible conundrum to solve.

...You've gotten caught up in a "yellow or green" debate here on the BBS.

...You know that the only real Klingons have smooth foreheads.

...You prefer your bald Captains to wear toupees.

 

...If you squint, you can still see the original Bridge as the super-futuristic, high-tech, and frankly gorgeous hardware porn it was meant to be.

 

Oh, heck, how about without squinting?

 

You know to tell a computer to calculate pi if it ever gets evil.

 

You think it's okay to drink with your doctor.

 

You know you're a TOS fan...

...if you name your cat Spock. (He has really pointed ears).
...if you recite the Captain's Oath every time you start your car.
...if you have a Star Trek quote ready for any and all occasions.
...if you set up your man cave with a Captain's chair in the center of the room with your big screen TV as the viewscreen.
...if you use your middle finger to press the eject button on your remote control.
...if you say to your family, "We must drink! This is Tranya. I hope you relish it as much as I" and laugh maniacally every time you have your morning orange juice.

...if you don't know what is brain.
...if logic is a wreath of pretty flowers that smell bad.
...if the no money thing is just for the military.

 

...if you can watch "Spock's Brain" and "And the Children Shall Lead" without batting an eye, and even like them, though you're left brain tells you that you shouldn't (of course if you know what brain is in the first place)

...if you have no problem with the ship travelling at warp 13

...you have no idea what century Star Trek takes place in

 

You know you're a TOS fan if...you noticed Kirk's change of uniform while in the turbo lift with Charlie Evans in Charlie X!

I can't believe All-Access hasn't been all over this one.

 

I'm happy with John Byrne's "Assignment: Earth" comics.
