ENT Forum Get To Know You Thread Pt 2

Hello,

anyone else from the old times here? :D
(this is my first post in 14 years! I'm a whole different human being)

Thank you! I am.
I remember you :) iirc I read all your fanfic back then and now I see you also like kpop.

So what did I miss the last decade or so?

HI! I'm Lisa-Marie and I have been following Star Trek (and all series) since it all began in 1966. This may sound weird but I never knew about "Enterprise" until after I retired!! I was surfing the networks and found H&I running all the series. Imagine my surprise to see a 5th series "Enterprise" with Scott Bakula!!!! I watched Scott in"Quantum Leap" and now on N.C.I.S.:NOLA. Anyway, I just happened to tune in on the 2nd episode after the Xindi attack of Earth. I continued to watch & wondered how did I miss this? Easy - life interferred. Working for a living got me so tired I just never had time to watch anything. I'm glad I got to see "Enterprise" & I think it's better than the original! I love all the characters, especially the "odd couple" Tucker & Reed. Met them at Con in Vegas - really nice guys! I'm still watching all the Star Trek series. And yes, besides Tucker & Reed I think Capt. Archer is sexy!

Welcome to the geezer club. I was 20 in 1966 when the pilot aired and have been a fan ever since. Have you seen Discovery yet? I’m really enjoying that show too.

Thanks for reading! :adore: And yes, I'm a TVXQ/Tohoshinki fangirl. I've seen them in concert a couple times and they're awesome. Do you follow Kpop too?

Hmmm... the ENT shipper wars finally cooled, but loathing for TATV apparently will never die. And Captain Archer works in New Orleans now. I haven't seen Disco yet either, but DH just saw the (very theatrical) trailer for Season 2 and thought a new Trek movie was coming out. :p

So who won? :nyah: lol

I'd repressed TATV successfully just until now. :brickwall: I will never understand how that piece of bs ever got greenlit.
Captain Archer does what now?
I've seen Disco and it took me 2 tries to finish it (binging it definitely helped). I lurked a bit in the Disco thread and was shocked to find out that my fav character seemed to be universally hated there.

I want to say it’s been nearly ten years since my last post. I hope I have settled down enough that I can get into posting here more often. I have a love/hate relationship with ENT, meaning I almost hate season 1 and 2, but love 3 and 4. What I hate the most is that it was cancelled. I expected season 5 to dive into the Romulan Wars, and I was hoping for something as great as the Dominion War story. I feel like this is such an important part of Trek history and we may never know anything about it outside of the books. And I don’t have a complete hate for TATV. I find the idea of a TNG holodeck episode with the ENT crew fascinating. But yes it was a slap in the face to ENT.

Hey, I just signed up like an hour ago and so far, judging by the threads, stories, and comments I think this is going to be a great website.

Just wondering, I noticed that all the members Ive seen have ranks displayed below their usernames, do you get promoted over time or by the amount of posts you’ve posted?

Thanks

Welcome, CaptainPicard999! We love new members. :)

Member ranks are earned by posts, not time. 5 posts for Ensign, 25 for Lt. Jr. Grade, 50 for Lieutenant, and so on.

Back in the day when I was new here, I was such a shy poster that it took me nearly a year to log 100 posts. Hopefully you will be a little more forthright, lol. Enjoy yourself!

TOS and ENT are my fav shows hands down.
What caught me first was the into song. It was PRE-TOS.
made perfect sense.
In my music collection I have two theme songs, Firefly and ENT
because they are both great songs.

I LIVE! I'm one of the oldies returning, too. It's been probably over a decade since I was last here. Hello! I'm star aka startraveller776, misplaced, or misplacedagain. I'm currently rewriting one of my old fics and desperately needing some guidance on the best research resources for ENT. Google has not been very helpful. *cries*

(My Trek preferences, just to be properly re-introductory: TOS, TNG, ENT, and I'm enjoying Discovery though I feel it and AOS are a different kind of Trek. And of course the movies, all of them--except for maybe Star Trek V.)

Well as I live and breathe! star, my priceless one, you're back!! eeeeeeeeee!

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
*massive welcome back hug*

And you're writing ENTfic! Glorious! :adore: You've made my day! --Er, night. Oh wait, for you it is day... Whatever! So happy!

Actually, we have a recent thread discussing the paucity of ENT resources. I've been using Memory Alpha and the Chakoteya transcripts, but I haven't needed to deep-dive any topics. Alas, ENT is still the red-headed stepchild. :wah: With the new baby down the hall on CBS All Access.
