Great episode. I'm interested in seeing where the storyline is going with Spock, I like that it seems to be dealing his life having to grow up as a Vulcan/Human hybrid and how difficult that was for him which has been sort of glossed over before. The Klingon stuff was good, I like that it does deal with the fallout of Starfleet being part of how L'Rell got into power and some houses not trusting her. Wee Baby Voq Jr was cute. I do feel bad for Voq/Tyler, he never was fully accepted in Klingon society and likely never will be in human or Federation society. A man without a home, a people and now his only child.

He's a shitty father, that's why Sybok turned out so trashy. Spock and Michael are only functional because of Amanda, the galaxy's best mother.

This was an apology episode from the writers. Klingon hair, communication with screens, and making their ships look like something familiar by showing us D7 which I'm pretty sure has been around before this, making the attitudes of the crew less dark. I liked star trek more when it was the writers that showed us the trek universe rather than the other way around. You can tell that they did a course correction in response to the fan reaction.

thought this episode was good but disjointed. this was two distinct storylines that did not intersect in an interesting way and the runtime didn't allow for either one to satisfyingly unfold.

but i did love the stuff on qo'nos. i didn't realize i missed kol until we got kol-sha having the same kind of fun being a total dick as his son had last season.

Speaking of Sybok, Spock, and Sarek, there is this scene.

What did Michael Burnham do to Spock to make him less emphatic? He comforted the pet sehlat I-Chaya at the end of the being's life.

Could those who gave this episode a 9 or 10 tell me how much CBS is paying them and how I can get a piece of the action?

Do we know where Michael's arrival into Sarek' s family is in the timeline in relation to Yesteryear?

I'm kinda glad that they have a more simple stealth ship as opposed to the monolithic Vengeance.

You know 9/10 means an almost perfect score, right?. What made this episode almost perfect?. The Klingon storyline? Killer Spock? The Tilly storyline? Empress georgiou?. What does DIS have to do to get a low rating from you?

i was kinda feeling like it was an interesting mix of both. definitely had a bit of vengeance in the engines and hull coloring. even if i wasn’t exactly sure what its hull was doing...

At the end of this episode, his house is made to be heroes that saved L'Rell, so yeah they're probably good for a while.

    8. I don't love it, I don't hate it. I have severely mixed feelings about Section 31.
I still don't feel they are the good guys.
O'Brien has my back on this one.

    - I like "seasonal" recaps
    - "Silly Tilly"
    - Tilly IS amazing :)
    - Again, Pike is such a welcome presence
    - LOVE that Vulcan ship design
    - D7 Battlecruiser HELL YES
    - Varied Klingon hairstyles are a nice touch
    - I hear Battlestar Galactica musical tones during L'Rell/Ash
    - Pike's ready room is so welcome
    - A "bridge" episode, linking the others together
    - Mia Kirshner is an absolute joy
    - I miss Michael/Ash
    - More Battlestar musical tones during L'Rell/Ash
    - This show is VERY Game Of Thrones, still, for good or bad.
    - guy who steals Ash/L'Rell's kid reminds me of "The Albino" from DS9
    - Tilly/Michael friendship from season 1 revisited
    - not the best fight scenes between Klingons that I've seen
    - Section 31 is awful, as usual, as I have always suspected. Terrible.
    - Tilly's Spore parasite is also awful
    - Game Of Thrones beheadings and baby murders, even if fake, AWFUL.
    - Section 31 ship is awesome
    - More Battlestar musical tones
    - Ash as Section 31, I don't hate it

Well Amanda didn't have a reason to be mad at Spock by the time of "Journey to Babel," since Michael was the one who presumably tore the family apart to the point that they dont see each other for years and years.

Is it that unthinkable to you that people actually like the show and that your opinion isn’t universal? Not everyone thinks like you. I’m not going to defend why I like the show, that’s absurd.
