Where on the USS Discovery is Pike’s Ready Room?

Must be the ultimate ride for everyone in the outer disc when it jumps.

The inner ring rotates too.
Guys...my god. The rings do not rotate, only the thin upper layer of hull does. It's suuuper obvious because the windows stay still. Everyone inside is perfectly fine because the actual deck structure remains still while the "skin" slides on top. I don't know if you're just joking but I feel I need to make this clear because somehow some people still don't get this.

EDIT: Tuskin, sorry, I realize now you weren't saying they rotate. But my post still stands cause other people need to hear this

The inner ring rotates too.

It’s just the outer hull layer rotating, not the entire section.
I never noticed that before you pointed it out to me.
There's Three separate rings and the innermost and outermost hull layers both spin.
Well I be danged.

Has anybody else noticed that the upper and lower parts spin in Opposite Directions?
The Top Outer layer spins Clockwise and the Bottom outer layer spins Counter-clockwise.
And the Inner layers both spin opposite to that.

Didn't know that either till I just went looking at Yt vids.

Those triangular slot windows are crew quarters. There are 8 of those cut-out wedges around the inner saucer, with two quarters per cut out (each room taking up half the width of the cutout) . But one of them contains the mess hall which spans the full width of the cutout. As you can see, in some cases the corridor that extends beyond the quarters (seemingly into space) would have to lead into a phaser control room. In other cases where there is no phaser, it would likely lead into a room with a sloped wall against the hull.

Huh, thanks for that. Makes sense--would have seemed like a huge oversight otherwise! I appreciate your analysis.

I never noticed that as well.

I didn't know it, either. I thought the entire outer ring spun.

Not that huge an oversight. It happens all the time. Babylon 5's sets had windows in rooms that had to be "inside" if you looked at the hallways outside, same with "The Shining." With one little quarter-arc of corridor and four rooms, verisimilitude sometimes has to give way to versatility. The quarters on the E-D in TNG had a similar issue (the room had windows, but was on the inner side of the corridor curve).

Hm might be an error, when the discovery jumps away from Corvan 2 the bottom spins the same direction as the top.

But when she jumps in to save the Gagarin, it is spinning the reverse direction.

I just rewatched S2E2.

The direction of the saucer changes during the jump, going into the jump it spins one way, and leaving the jump it reverses.

This lines up with the observation I made above. So no the bottom of the saucer isn’t running counter to the top.

Watch the very last part of this video, you can see both the top and bottom of the Outer Primary hull in a single shot.
They are spinning in opposite directions.
(Top = Clockwise ... Bottom = Counterclockwise & the Inner hull is the complete opposite)

This show isn’t very consistent

The video even counters my observation of the hull changing direction

Indeed - sometimes the ship is orbiting a planet belly down, sometimes belly up, sometimes port or starboard or even stern down! This clearly establishes the show as nothing but fiction.
