Now in Core B side in Celeste. I might just watch LPs for the C sides. I'm sure I could get through them eventually but they might pass the tipping point of no longer being fun.

I have the Summit music stuck in my head.

You know, one thing I've found odd about contracts in Witcher 3 was that in gameplay terms, once you encountered every trophy type, there really isn't much incentive in doing all contracts other than to see their story, since the percentages they affect are always the same, which IMHO is a bummer. This is something I feel they could have really improved upon seeing as contracts are an important part of the lore. Randomizing the percentages or even increasing the percentages based on the contract level would have kept things more interesting. As it is, I felt they were kind of disappointing. They didn't feel quite as rewarding as they should have been and the trophies bordered on useless.

I'd love some suggestions but anyone have any suggestions for an open world type of game where there is not too much killing and exploration is encouraged?

You get more different weapons as you go along.

I'm not positive since I haven't played it, but I believe Journey is pure exploration, with no combat.
By no killing, does that include non-fatal combat. If you are just looking for stuff where people don't die, then the Batman: Arkham games have very little killing in them, and the Spider-Man game that came out late last year is the same.
The LEGO games have a very, very big emphasis on exploration, but they do have some very tame combat.
The Ratchet & Clank games also puts a big emphasis on exploration, but they do include some catoony combat. Same goes for the Jak & Daxter, and Sly Cooper series.

No Man's Sky has 18 quintillion randomly generated planets to explore. There's very little killing in it.

Abzu is an underwater exploration/puzzle game. There's a mystery to uncover but you're free to swim around and explore some areas on land.

Any suggestions for a modern clever game, like Lemmings, Settlers, Civilizations; Sim city,.. the kind of game that evolves and demands some strategy as well as tactic and imagination... only recent and novel?

Thanks @JD and @Obsidian7 I'll have a look at Journey but that will probably only be for my console as it's not PC and I tried No Man's Sky but didn't like it. I'll look for Abzu.

    Subnautica looks fun.

I was thinking of Abzu too, but I couldn't remember the name of it.

I am currently playing a lot of The Division, especially survival mode. I will be playing it until The Division 2 is released in April. Meanwhile I am checking out Star Citizen a little but more often, once a week or so. Other games I play on or off are World of Tanks, Vampyr, Exapunks and Super Mario Odyssey.

I finished up the last side missions and the last Hammerhead hideout in the PS4 Spider-Man this morning, so all I have left is the city crimes. I know I finished everything in the main game since it's at 95%, but I'm not sure if I got everything in the other two DLCs.

Unlocked three achievements for Assassin's Creed: Liberation yesterday, "Ship Crew" (complete every Ship Crew mission), "One Watch is not Enough" (collect all the pocket watches), and "Persona Collector" (collect every persona-specific collectible).

Only one achievement out of thirty is left, but I don't think I can get 100% in every sequence.

Celeste: I have now finished all the B sides. Four of the C sides. But the remaining C sides I think have gotten so hard that they won't be fun so I'm probably going to Youtube the rest. Maybe see about some of the golden strawberries, but other than the first two stages I've been nowhere close to a death free run.

Ever tried to play against one of these new chess programs? It's terribly frustrating. No matter what piece you decide to move or how the program quickly shows you that it's a stupid move!!!

The stories are what make them worthwhile though. ;)

Sorry about the ending you got, that is unfortunate....

Hopefully you enjoy the expansions, between the two of them (they're both amazing) Hearts of Stone is a much tighter, more intense story while Blood and Wine is much more expensive high fantasy.

Been playing a lot of Harebrained Studios' (Paradox) Battletech lately, but booted up Mass Effect: Andromeda the other day for the first time.... since 2017, wow. So much I want to be drawn in - the mood, the music, the voice acting, the actual gameplay - but the cursor-in-screen bug is so annoying and it just lacks... something. :sigh:

Oh, definitely. I just wished that the trophies you got were associated with the quest level so that the contract rewards would be more satisfying.

I don't have the expansions yet. I bought the game during a recent GOG sale, and bought the standard edition and unfortunately didn't notice that the complete edition featuring the expansions was on sale for the same price! It was unfortunately due to the way their store UI works where a drop-down menu will allow you to switch between versions. I had only noticed I could do that after I had bought it, seeing the same price. Doh! I have to think that kind of obscurity isn't good for business.
