How much of an adjustment will Emperor Georgiou have?

Or they're super-pissed. Remember Kang was super-insistent about eating the Albino's heart, and making sure Dax got a bite.

Well Klingons eating hearts was mentioned several times (I think?), but never the entire body.

Cornwell asked Lorca why he didn't have medical procedure done to correct his eyes. He avoided answering her.

They probably won't mention it but, if they do, with Section 31's resources, they can just give her an eye operation, so she can see in bright light.

Of course, if they gave her an operation, they could probably try to do something else to her too at the same time. A chip or an implant. Something to try to keep her under control. All of which is only speculation on my part.

They used a chip to keep Spike under control for a while on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, now that I think about it.

The neutering chip was a short term way of causing a massive scrambling of Spikes neural impulses when he vamped out. It was only meant to stop them biting the personnel while being experimented on, after a while frying itself and taking the vampire with it from breaking down.

I think they'll have something much more sophisticated to keep Georgiou under control. They're massive idiots if they haven't put some sort of kill switch in her skull.

I don't know, bringing back Mirror Georgiou at all seems like such a misguided idea to me, no less as an agent of Section 31. In the brief moments we got to know Captain Georgiou in the pilot episodes she seemed like a fine character, nicely portrayed by Yeoh. But the MU version is just so over-the-top, irredeemably and outrageously evil, that I don't really want her as a recurring character on the show. I'm sorry, but I don't quite get all the love the character is getting from fans. I'm afraid she does nothing for me.

I really, really hope her involvement in season two will be minimal. And I also really, really hope her storyline won't be about her redemption, as this would just seem incredibly stupid and unbelievable. It's just something I don't want to see.

It is kind of fun to watch someone who is so reprehensibly evil and just doesn't give a shit, and Michelle Yeoh plays the part perfectly.

The Emperor would probably find it harder to adapt then Lorca.

But she'd be under fewer illusions about her future or place in the order of things. Lorca has already been there to show how not to do it, after all.

Lorca played the Decaf Universe to get back to the Regular one and defeat his enemies there. Georgiou doesn't want to get back to Regular, ever; there's no future for her there. She can concentrate on playing her current universe of residence solely to her immediate and longterm advantage, which is what she has been doing all her life anyway.

So why is she so utterly and completely terrible at pretending to not be spaceracistegomaniac for even a few seconds? Not saying that's a problem necessarily, just... uh, isn't she supposed to be competent? More to the point, it seems like a real challenge to make her scenes (*outside the mirror universe) anything more than parody if all she can do is immediately start frothing at the mouth.

*obviously she was able to maintain a certain level of decorum in the MU, as she was already in control, plus the standards for decorum in the MU are somewhat less there.

PS- this immediate frothing, by the by, is exactly the sort of thing you can get away with / embrace with a more theatrical (as in the stage) tone and / or episodic format. It sounds right at home in the elevated world of TOS, but is out of place in the (at least conceptually) nuanced conversations and "realism" of DSC.

Other than the one scene on the bridge bridge when she really showed her ass the emperor was very much on the down low and in complete control of herself. So, other than the one scene on the bridge, I'm wondering what has caused you to think that she might not be able to control herself.

And my point was that her chosen strategy shouldn't be to blend in, because that's how Lorca failed in the end. She has nothing to lose by revealing herself in that particular scene: everybody either already knows, and/or is appropriately frightened out of their wits. Which is all on the plus side for her. If she can keep her "handlers" worried, all the more power to her. Literally.
