God forbid anyone want to see a property they enjoy get adapted. No one has to compromise what they want to see because some people are apathetic to everything. People that just take whatever shit that gets made and complains when people point out that its shit are the same people who kept Michael Bay drowning in money.
A long post of whinging. Carol got her powers from Kree tech back in the comics. She had memory issues when she first became Ms Marvel. Your list of complaints are either completely wrong or just boil down to 'it is not exactly like the comic'. The movie is an adaptation no matter how often you say it isn't which is another thing you clearly do not understand. No.
Don’t imply that anyone else is upset, it’s just you. The reaction to the movie is almost universally positive, except for pathetic losers who can’t stand any movie staring a woman.
Don't even start with that. I love Wonder Woman, and most of my favorite heroes are female heroes. Hating one female lead movie (for reasons that have nothing to do with the lead being female) doesn't mean anything.
I never said you didn’t. Maybe you should think before reacting. Back on topic, I love that Fury is a cat lover. That’s how I’m going to picture him from now on. He just goes from total hardass to total softy when he lays eye on a cat. We’re lucky HYDRA didn’t know about his only weakness.
Sometimes I worry that my love for the Marvel Cinematic Universe makes me overlook some of its flaws, then I see people exist that will support anything they do to the point of just attacking anyone who disagrees and I realize that I probably have the right amount of love for the MCU You just said I don't like movies starring women. So, you know, maybe you shouldn't blatantly lie when a post on the very same page proves that you did...
It might have been in Infinity, 5-ish years ago, but all the Kree based Avengers switched sides like Manchurian candidates, in the middle of a fight.
They just released pictures of the toys. Why is the cat in shackles? https://www.comingsoon.net/extras/news/1015315-hasbro-reveals-first-captain-marvel-products
What Possum said: Nothing there about you, only to the general negative opinions you can find, quite easily, on Youtube, for instance. She is correct. Nope, wrong again. Captain marvel looks like a great adaptation of 50 years of comics.
@kirk55555 We don’t attack you because you disagree. We are either at stage I where we are just profoundly irritated by your unwarranted hyperbole and unfounded assertions or we’re at stage II where we just get irritated when you start your rant before our popcorn is ready.
i like how basically all the stuff I complain about is provable by trailer footage, but is somehow an "unfounded assertion". Also, I'm not hyperbolic, although I suppose people that either outright hate the source material or are just extremely apathetic might see it that way when they see fans of the source material sticking up for it over the crap adaptation.
Reading comprehension is your friend. I said pathetic losers, you are an individual upset over insignificant changes. If you can’t tell the difference between an individual and other groups of people, I really don’t know what to tell you, You see, to think every single thing is an attack on you, but it isn’t. Get over yourself. You should probably stop trying to make the thread about you and your anger issues.
You were obviously including me in the group, and you were so obvious about it that I don't know why you're pretending that what you posted meant anything else.
Since you’re already dragged this into TNZ, maybe you should take this there instead derailing two threads.
Captain Marvel. I want to see more of Annette Benning who seems to be playing a pivotal part in Carol's story.
Yes, everyone except Kirk hates the source material. We are blasphemers for not taking the holy writ of Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway and Chris Claremont as holy gospel-canon and embracing the heathen Feige.
Because an adaptation does not mean faithful adherence to 50 plus years of comic book history. It literally means to change as a facet of putting in a new medium. Otherwise, I could claim Adam West as the original Batman and all others as blasphemy (don't tempt me-I might). You don't have to like it, but it's not a personal attack, nor an attack upon the source material. It's different people engaging with the material in different ways. IDIC and all that jazz. Yup
