Actually, it occurs to me that it doesn't have to make the slightest bit of difference to the show. Coulson was in charge of a project that centered around a Kree corpse. But the detrimental side effects of being exposed to his own project caused SHIELD to erase any and all memories of the project. if the erasure of those memories pertains to everything Kree related, it's possible that the Coulson we know in Agents of SHIELD doesn't even remember Carol.

To repeat long known issues, because why not, Carol never had non-Rogue induced amnesia or worked for the Kree in her origin (and one short story arc in the Avengers in the 2010s doesn't justify her working for the Kree in a movie, especially her first appearance). She was never brainwashed to think she was Kree. Plus, her Captain Marvel uniform is her own design, not a fucking Kree uniform.

I'm pretty sure that you can't give super powers with Kree blood in the comics. The MCU has a bit of wiggle room because of some Agents of SHIELD bs, but I would point out that flying and shooting energy beams aren't standard Kree abilities.

The CG looks bad, all the dialog was bad, and the trailer just triples down on how much it hates the source material and fans. Its impressive (in a bad way) that some asshole(s) got their completely original movie produced by Marvel just by slapping some Marvel names on their shit script. If Shazam wasn't coming out next year, this would be the worst superhero film of the year easily.

I swear that the shot of Carol at 1:57 in the trailer is an homage to a comics cover, but I can't quite place which one.

I really don't like the Marvel space stuff, I think the Marvel humor is getting close to self parody, and the movies are getting a bit formulaic... That trailer was super not for me.

I will be seeing this opening weekend.

Well that was....uninspiring.

I kinda have to agree. I was a little underwhelmed. I am super excited for the idea of Brie Larson playing Danvers and I think she'll do a great job, but the movie looks exactly like more of the same from Marvel: lots of punching, lots of punchlines and a huge CGI battle at the end where no one can make sense of anything. It will probably be a fun distraction but won't have too much substance to it.

The de-aging on Jackson looks great though!

Wow, great trailer. It looks like might once again be outdoing DC, this time with their first solo woman lead movie.
My only fairly minor issue actually originates in the comics. I've always thought the fauxhawk helmet looked goofy in the comics, and it looks even goofier in live action.

No, they're doing to Jackson what they did to Russell in Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2.

Uh, no? The Kree aren't supposed to do anything to Carol, period. Individual Kree accidentally created a situation that gave her powers because of a 1 in a million type event.

I've seen every DCEU movie, and I've yet to see one that looked that bad. the only think it had over DCEU films is more color, and since her suit is colored wrong (it was never blue and green, because its not a fucking Kree uniform), DC actually kind of wins there, since at least characters like Superman or Wonder Woman have the right color scheme, even if its way, way too muted.[/QUOTE]
