I didn't have any problems with the CGI of Peter Cushing in Rogue One. This, however, is nightmare inducing...
Can I go back to CGI Tarkin please?I didn't have any problems with the CGI of Peter Cushing in Rogue One. This, however, is nightmare inducing...
I've watched Solo a lot in the last few weeks. The Kid did alright.
You know, if he had been in another movie and doing this schtick, people would have said he was "doing" Harrison Ford. (Especially Star Wars Ford.)
You'll never mistake the two in a line up. But he gets the cadences right. He pitches his voice right (before Ford put on a hundred pounds and his voice dropped to where he was trying to talk to begin with). He carries himself the right way.
The man did a bang up job.
I will need to rewatch the film but part of the bluff is that Qi'ra is a high class lady looking to engage in trade. So, the story can simply be one of coercion by Beckett and Solo in order to get access to high profile loot. If they fail, all Bettany has to say is "They captured one of my lieutenants and forced her to cooperate. She played along to hopefully sabotage their plans." Then Solo and Beckett are killed and no one is the wiser.I've finally got around to watching it, rating is slightly under a meh. If we say acceptable is a C then this would be around a D.
Anyway quick question and I can't remember everyone's names so bare with me.
Han and co need to get some Bacta for Paul Bettany. Han suggests going to the Spice mines for it. (First this was a bit clunky way of getting the Kessel run in, could we not just have been after spice? Or would the implications of Han being a drug runner been too strong?) Now Paul shoots this idea down because he has a non aggression pact with the mine owners. If he steals their stuff it could start a gang war he can't afford. So Han and Woody say that they aren't part of his gang so can have a go at stealing it and if they get caught it won't reflect badly on Paul.
However before they go on their mission Paul insists on them taking his right hand woman who is branded with his mark along with them. Surely there goes the rogue pirate angle? Right? Did I miss something (quite possible). I know he wants to keep an eye on them but...
Ah, still seems a little clunky and like logically he should have sent someone else in her place but story dictated otherwise but thanks for that.I will need to rewatch the film but part of the bluff is that Qi'ra is a high class lady looking to engage in trade. Given that villain's tendencies to rage, I doubt logic was foremost on his mind.Ah, still seems a little clunky and like logically he should have sent someone else in her place but story dictated otherwise but thanks for that.
I think I said that his voice was a little higher in his Star Wars / American Graffiti days and that he was considerably skinnier before training for Temple of Doom / turning 40....did you just say that Harrison Ford is so fat, that he can barely speak?
Whenwhatwhen?
You hated The Force Awakens that much?It got a bit confusing towards the end but aside from that, It's 3 for 4 out of Disney Star Wars.![]()
No, I loved The Force Awakens and Rogue One. The Last Jedi was rather meh for me.You hated The Force Awakens that much?
