Other than the cartoonish shark scene, which I'm hoping is still going to be fixed, I really liked that trailer. Momoa's Aquaman seems to be based on the Batman cartoon series, which isn't really bad in my opinion. I loved the rooftop chase scene.
Brave and the Bold's Aquaman was the best ever, and I do see a few similarities, but not that many. They're both big, bearded Aquamen with a sense of humor and a certain flamboyance, and they both come off as a bit dimwitted at times, but Momoa's version is a more reluctant leader and hero and not nearly as much of a bon vivant and storyteller.
I used to buy the comics back in the 80's, this version looks like fun, the character was one of the interesting ones in the Justice League movie.

The main story will surely be set after Justice League. In Mera's one scene in JL, it's pretty clear that Arthur has had little contact with Atlantis and has refused to take up his birthright as king, and also that he and Mera have rarely if ever spoken before, given that it's the first time she tells him about his mother. So the Aquaman movie will have to be set later than that, given that it involves Arthur and Mera teaming up and growing closer, and presumably Arthur claiming his kingship at last.

Agreed, but I don't care for the gloves... They just look "off" to me..
I understand your view--I think they wanted to sell the "fin gloves" motif to add to the essence of the character, but the long-lived scales already accomplished that.
Be nice to Aquaman and his fancy washing up gloves.
I'm impressed that this movie is actually embracing the costume designs.
