It's got a 53 on Metacritic, with 8 positive reviews, 15 mixed, and 2 negative. That's enough to make me optimistic.

Not a lot of people want to see that at all. Most of these types of movies that actually do well have an 80% or more on RT.

That was the exception series, and its lack of quality finally caught up to it with the 4th movie. Some F&F movies probably also had below 80, so there are exceptions, but they are far from the rule. IN general these "big, fun, dumb" movies tend to do better overseas.
