Episodes that are generally considered "bad" that you actually like

Every Trek series has its fair share of bad episodes, but sometimes I don't get the hate for some of the "bad" episodes (Sometimes I don't get the love for some of the "good/great" episodes either), so I was just wondering if any one else likes some of the "Bad" episodes?

I actually like Spock's Brain (yeah it's stupid but that's the fun lol), Most of Season Seven TNG, The Fight (one of my favorites from Voyager actually)

I do like "Spock's Brain," for the women and the music score. In fact, I can deal with every episode mentioned above except for "The Fight." I saw it only once, in first run, and it was the longest hour of Star Trek I've ever been through. Never been so bored.

Alot of good episodes being mentioned! The Omega Glory, The Royale, Genesis, Masks, Dagger of the Mind, and Move Along Home are all episodes I like as well, Theshold is still one of my least favorite Voyager episodes, but I do like it better than some *cough*11:59*cough*

I'm not sure they're good ;) but they are enjoyable. Masks is wonderfully batshit crazy. I watch it every time it's on. Royale is fun too. I have a soft spot for any real earth analog type stories so something like The Omega Glory is also one that I enjoy. I'm pretty 'whatever' on Dagger of the Mind though. The best part of that episode is Marianna Hill :adore:

I know TNG season one gets a lot of hate and some of it justified but I like a lot of those episodes. They can seem a little weird because the characters aren't fleshed out yet but there's a certain naivete about them that I like. The formula hadn't been written yet and they were still finding their way. There is also a sense of exploration present that tends to get lost in later seasons.

I've heard a lot people don't like "Is There in Truth, No Beauty?" but it's one of my favorites.
The music is utterly gorgeous, for one thing. The theme of the story, expressed in the title, captures one of the social themes of the 1960s perfectly. Larry Marvick gets a bit overly melodramatic there, but I actually like melodrama, so that's fine. The Medusan's soliloquy about the loneliness of being stuck inside a physical body spoke volumes to 12-year-old me. And, commercialistic intent aside, Spock's explanation of the IDIC concept nails the concept of equality and civil rights so important to get across in 1969.

I love Skin of Evil for many reasons, not the least is that Patrick Stewart can talk philosophy with a black slime creature, and make it believable. The Royale is a surrealistic and unique episode that I enjoy. A Matter of Perspective I like simply for "You're a dead man Apgar, a dead man!" There's some nice moments of subtlety in that episode.

Rivals is one of my favorite DS9 episodes. For some reason it reminds me of the 70s Buck Rogers.
