It's why I liked TLJ so much. It wasn't trying to be the same Star Wars movie over and over. I was actually surprised at a blockbuster, rather than, "Ooo, cool, I saw exactly what I want to see!"
So, it ends with the battle on a snowy/salty world, contains a different old Jedi master being cranky, and has a whole different shady character hand some heroes over to the empire...and instead of ending on a cliffhanger featuring a robot hand, it starts on one. Add a slow chase scene and lightsaber battles with shock family revelations to taste.
It’s like gangster rap, it rhymes.
