Any one got any good ghost stories for kids? Or book recommendations?
My oldest is obsessed with slender man and other weird stuff. I don’t like these characters. Something about the malevolence and pure evil nature that young kids shouldn’t be exposed to, so when asked if I liked slender man when I was little, it was time to recall good old solid stories of the good old days. But i couldn’t remember much.
When i was eight I had a book of ghosts, and my friends would sit together in a coal shed, on upturned milk crates, and by the light of a couple of candles, we’d try to scare each other.
I remembered the screaming skulls, that one resonated (no pun intended), and the one eyed black shuck that roamed the Irish moors to seek vengeance, and the bloodstain that always came back, and the clock that struck thirteen when someone was about to die.
These stories fire their imagination I think, stories that maybe could be real, but won’t give you nightmares, because they aren’t about you, or some evil guy waiting in the shadows to get you.
They’ve asked for more, and I’d like to better prepared next time. Any suggestions?
