Jokes don't stop when you reach an age and nor does stupidity...

But again your original premise makes every joke ever said in Human History a view of that person's beliefs by default. I've probably made a left wing joke and a right joke on the same subject at somepoint so does that make me a centrist by default?

I think you have a gripe with comedians or entertainers of any sort in general, for some weird reason. I could then make a joke about did a clown do something to you at somepoint in the past but I better not or I would be in a favour of clowns committing crimes, clearly.

So Robin Williams once made this joke...

I like my wine like my women -- ready to pass out.

Are we saying that Robin Williams attacked woman after plying them with wine?

Or is that just a joke (tasteful or not depending on your view point).

It's a joke that was made at a time when it was considered ok. In the age of social media though, jokes you made last forever, and as the goalposts of acceptability move, you will pay the price. You really have to watch what you say on the internet.

You're defending recent rape and pedo jokes. Let that sink in...

recent...

Aren't they 8-10 years ago and this came out in 2012 and he apologised for the jokes (they are jokes) and that seemed fine back then so what changed? They are crappy jokes that I wouldn't personally NEVER TWEET but they are jokes none the less.

I am defending the fact that he said stupid things but there is no indication he performs or supports Paedophiles in anyway. I've heard as worse or just as worse on a range of sensitive topics from comedians on the fucking telly or on DVD or in person but we all knew they were jokes and not view points of that person.

People say stupid things all the time and you may not like that because your perfect and have never done that, but it happens 24/7 online and offline.

Also clarify for me because I did ask before and you ignored it...

Do you believe all jokes are view points of the person telling the joke.

So the next time some Gamergater threatens to rape and murder some female game developer and claims it was just a joke, you'll be cool with that?

False Equivalency

Make a threat is CLEARLY different from a joke or supporting a viewpoint and it takes nothing more than common sense to make that call and you bloody well know that.

I already answered this when I said:

"Sorry, but youre wrong. You have no idea what was going on in the person's head at the time, so you simply can't make that statement... Which is why you don't let such stupidity flow from your mouth in the first place when you are supposedly an adult... Especially in this day and age. This wasn't something that happened in the 80s or 90s. This was VERY recent"

False Equivalency
While I agree that is a false equivalency, I'm rather amused you're pointing it out considering the number of your posts are filled with false equivalencies themselves, including the one I pointed out earlier (without saying those two words).

I've heard worse. Does it make it okay? Not really but I have mixed feelings. Like people do use jokes to cross a line, knowing they might be doing that but expecting the context of the 'joke' to give the listener a clue they don't mean it. There used to be a ton of baby jokes (like deceased baby) jokes. Gross and shocking but no one seriously would believe the person telling the joke meant it. For the record I don't go in for that kind of humour but I'm reluctant to demonise a person for something they really don't mean.

Yet the subject matter used to shock is where the devil lies. There is also the other side of the equation. We're in a society of outrage that is mostly correct, however there are those who just like getting outraged.
