and to be quite frank hear on some comedy stages. There not allowing anything in not firing Gunn who hasn't made the sin of awful jokes like this in years so clearly it's not part of pattern of behaviour anymore if it ever was.

I'm 99% certain I have never made a rape or a pedophilia joke. I know a lot of people who haven't--at least, I'm pretty certain. So, again...

Speaking of not allowing things, I presume Depp will be fired in the next few minutes for his drug/alcohol issues and the fact it seems he may of hit his Ex-Wife.

I don't know... is he still making any movies with Disney? Because right now, Depp is Warner Brother's problem.

It's disappointing that Gunn is fired. But, seriously, he worked for Disney, it doesn't get more family friendly than that. It's a lesson to EVERYONE, the shit you put out there.... well, it's shit you put out there. There are consequences.

Comedians generally work for themselves. They don't represent anyone else but themselves, unless they are hired to be in a movie or a TV show... like Rosanne.

Gunn was hired to work for Disney. His public behavior--at the very least--reflects onto the company.

Should a company be allowed to fire someone for making racist jokes? For making racist statements? Why should a company be forced to continue to work with someone who no longer fits the product?

Interesting though in today's society when bad jokes gets you fired from working on a movie for a Studio that still has ties to sweatshops in parts of the World, with a history of questionable racist attitudes in it's own past among other nasty things and also the leader of the free world wasn't disqualified from his job despite actually sexually assaulting woman.

That's not remotely the same. What you and your friends did is part of the game objective done in privacy. What Gunn did was very public over the course of several years. Further, I presume you and your friends didn't mean those things while Gunn did at the time.

I think that point would make sense if the same assholes who made Song of the South were still there. But, they aren't. And Disney has NO plans to ever release it again.

So, they aren't being hypocritical.

Probably other studios and production companies would still be willing to work with him. Such as the ones that didn't see the need to fire him during the timeframe when he was actually making those tweets.

Which is why you don't let such stupidity flow from your mouth in the first place when you are supposedly an adult... Especially in this day and age. This wasn't something that happened in the 80s or 90s. This was VERY recent
